      Cool Dream control without lucidity

say if i imagined something to be there, like some sweets, and it was there, but I was never lucid, is that a sign that I'm just generally getting better or what? xD

Yeah I would say so. Some people call it "Fake Lucid", others call it "Semi-lucid". Control can be there without lucidity. Lucidity can be there without control. You're only lucid when you KNOW it's a dream. But I'd say you're getting closer keep on trying!

most defiantly. it means you are becoming more aware of your ability to control the environment even if you are not aware that it is a dream. Keep pushing through with the reality checks and that will lead you right into a lucid dream.

Dwell on your level of control and imagine you are then becoming lucid from that you will be happy with the success

      woo! thanks :3
last night I also got lucid for aout 10 seconds. Was playing football and kinda realised, but everything was so blurry I just woke up
next time, in a later dream that night I looked at my time on the computer and looked away, looked back and noticed it was different, but woke up straight away. Attempted a DEILD but didn't work very well, I guess I'm still reluctant on them.

Started a dream diary on 10th Jan and I've had 7 LD's so far. 6/7 have been rather blurry though and I've failed to get a decent amount of dream control
Any tips on that? I keep forgetting to just stop and look at my hands and say commands and touch things. I just rush and wake up >.<

sure mate, use vits to help boost the recall as secondary, primary, focus attention and practice. A dj will make a huge difference so dont skimp on it. When i frst started I could write down about 3 sentenances, after some time I was writing pages and pages. My longest recall was around...16 pages I think. It seriously took far too long to write so I started to pull back. That came from practice and trying.

There used to be a method on a old site called fishing. its where you wake up and dont move, from there you just go back through your memories floating through the dream and then let it catch your attention. Soon you will start to notice detials that you did not notice before, a link to alink to a link, I think you get the idea.

the waking up part is probably coming from two things. 1 . you are new to it. 2. you are over excited and are not using the stabilization methods.

Start with small goals and work your way up, trust me if it takes you two months to lucid dream 4-6 times a week that is better that trying to rush into it and not having the foundation to stand on.

Next time you are dreaming and go lucid try and feel something in the dream, the ground, a wall , anything with texture. Really focus on that feeling, you will be surprised how much that helps ground your dream. You will wake up if you focus on the waking world too much, so keep clam, stay focused on the dream. Work on things you know you can do, such as walking around, feeling the ground etc, then start to do more advanced things like jump in the air and hold youtself there for a few seconds.

Its like a muscle, it takes time to break the connection of reality, but once you are there you are there

Good luck. practice hard, and you will be rewarded

      16 page recall? Wow.
I've had an..8 dream recall, which is my highest. I use a word doc as IDK whether the DJ on DV is private, some of my dreams I don't want to share xD.
hm, fishing. sounds interesting. Kk, so you wake, stay still, recall your dream and that'll help your dream recall? Can you DEILD as well while doing that?

      yeah, I agree with the 1 and 2. >.<

My level one goals are as follows:

      'Level 1:
      Get Lucid – Done. 15/1/11
Hover in the air – Done. 15/1/11
Imagine an item and make it appear – Done. 4/2/11
      Confidently Stabilise Lucidity –
      Confidently Increase clarity –
      Confidently Increase Light Intensity –
Rub hands to prolong dream –
Talk to a dream character –
      Scimitar spawning from back –'

my current goal is stabilise, clarify, anchor --> then fly (WITH WINGS)
But that's a level 2 goal..maybe i should stick to just walking around and talking to dream characters first??

      kk thanks.
Will add to the goal list, to touch things / get tactile in dreams.
