What do your dreams feel like?

I've seen some fairly similar threads, but nothing like what i'm looking for. I want to know what it is you really FEEL in a dream. Not i can touch this or smell that, but more like i feel a sense of _____. Or a i feel that _____. Note, it can be a feeling you've only felt once in a dream.

I'll start myself. Had a dream a while back where i think i felt what true true love is. I sat upon a hill at night with a girl next to me. We just laid next to each-other watching the moon go over head. We laid their until i woke up and became sad.

Thats one example but feel free to mention multiple examples. I'm interested in what others FEEL in dreams.

I felt incredible connection to a person that I've never felt in reality and felt a great fear that I also never felt in reality.

Feelings are stronger in dreams more than reality, because our logic is turned off. I felt.... what I usually feel in reality, I guess, nothing emotional happening in my dreams.

I also find emotion can be much more intense in dreams. Often, I don't remember feeling anything. But when I do, it's usually intense. Anger becomes rage, loneliness becomes a feeling of perpetual abandonment, lust becomes unifying and seemingly transcendent, etc.

In dreams, I find I often get what I call 'atmospheres', which I guess are like feelings. But instead of being emotions which I experience, I get the sense they're embedded in the dream itself, in all the scenery and dream characters, not just in me.

Something else I've noticed about feelings in dreams. In real life, I think everyone experiences toned down feelings all the time. They might be slightly different for everyone, but I doubt there is much of a difference. For example, a feeling of guilt, over various things or just a general causeless feeling, that I experience perpetually, in the background of my mind. I usually don't take the time to feel the guilt consciously, because it's always there, sort of toned down, and I'm used to it. But in dreams, background feelings like that will make themselves very consciously apparent, so that I'm feeling them fully instead of in the background. These are usually intense, horrible experiences.

Thanks for all the responses. I guess i'll share something else to continue the thread.

In dreams where i die i feel free. I know its odd to say, but for instance, i was killed by falling snow in one dream. I was at the bottom of a pit and the snow just came down. It hit me, i couldn't breathe, move, and then pain just went away. As it was happening though, i felt sorrow. I felt free, but sad. It was an experience for me. Does anyone else feel sorrow in their dreams?

To sum a long paragraph all up, I feel stronger emotions in dreams than real life.

I've felt sorrow a few times, yes. Once when my dad died in my dream, and another when I had a series of continuing dreams and lost someone else (who I can't remember). Emotional connections from dreams to reality tend to be pretty strong in these ones, I find - both times I woke up and started crying.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

      Feelings I'm sure I've had:
Fear - When you are scared that a nightmare might occur, or when a nightmare is in process
Love - You meet a partner that fits you perfectly, or a being so pure that you instantly feel safe and protected by it, and love being with it.
      Lust - Sexual lust
Power/domination - If lucid occurs, power because of the controls you have over other units in your dream
Excitement - Almost similar to power, but it's more the expectation of what you could do
      Confusion - Almost always there.
Certainly more, but can't think of any right now.

Feelings are stronger because logic is turned off? That doesn't really explain it.

In a dream I actually just had recently I felt fear. Fear in it's most evil and purest form. What had happened wasn't evil, or even something to be feared. But I felt it, it was soo strong......

I don't know, that's what I've heard someone say on these forums before.

I just remembered there were dreams where I woke up crying, which was pretty powerful, though I forgot the dream.

my emotions are much stronger in dreams, Ive also felt like ive found true love in a dream or ill cry for any reason. I guess it is like Raiten said logic is turned off, things seem much more important and in the moment in dreams then in reality.

I've felt a strong sense of love in dream, when I'm with a girl. And I was shot before and was dying on the ground and felt free like someone else mentioned. I think emotions are so strong in dreams because your just in that moment and nothing else is distracting you. You are just living in the moment.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

      well..
I have felt like I knew the answer to every question and knew everything about the universe mixed with ultimate happiness. A feeling that words can't describe.
Then when i woke up and it just felt like a memory but i didn't have the same feeling. I plan on asking my Dream-Guide to let me feel like this again.
      Corny.. I know.

A dream I had lastnight had more of a deep intrest to it, and a slight feel of sorrow. It was my old school, but sorta expanded, looked sorta futuristic with so many different floors and a hole down the middle, looking down the hole was darkness. There were a lot of zombies for some reason, and Im pretty sure I had seen someone get attacked by them, but then I come across a corridoor with people I knew sitting there, a girl I remember from school was sat there and I felt sorry for her, I looked down a corridoor and (I think) a girl my age was waiting for me. I just felt sorry that I had to leave so many people to their fates.

Hmm, this is a very interesting thread, and I have thought about this a little bit.. I don't really remember my emotions in dreams, but there are some dreams that I can really remember the emotions. the emotion that I feel the most is a sense of panic. It's really weird. In a lot of my dreams I feel like I'm being chased or like there's something bad that's going to happen. It's almost like fear, but still more of a panic. The other feeling I've felt is an extreme sense of sadness. I remember in one dream where my little brother fell down the stairs and died, and I started crying in the dream, and it was so sad. I remember waking up and I had been crying in the waking life too when I was dreaming.

I've had some horrible emotional dreams, but have never actually woken up in the process of crying. I didn't know that was possible.

I have felt strong emotions in my dreams. I don't know about lucid dreams, exactly, but in my regular dreams, sometimes, I wake up yelling out of frustration or fear. I've never woke up with tears but I was crying in my dreams and it felt extremely real.
