What's the light condition in the room? Do you sleep with it on, or is their just light from outside or something? |

I've been recently sleeping with a sleep mask and it has been giving me a lot of difficulty. The majority of my lucids have come through false awakenings lately but when I perform a reality check everything is still pitch black and I realize I have my sleep mask on. When I attempt to take it off it's like it's glued to my face and I have to rip it off removing small portions at a time. I've tried imagining it away, I've tried imagining I'm somewhere else, etc but it's always on. Sometimes by the time I get it off I've disrupted my dream so much that I wake up. I don't want to have to sleep without it as it helps remarkably with the light but it's definitely hurting my lucid dreaming. Any advice would be appreciated. |

Is the light from outside or from your room? |

Outside, the only way to stop is to put up window curtains which isn't feasible at the moment. |

Ah right. You could try sleeping with your eyes under the covers if that's comfortable. Or just try and find a way so that when it's stuck on your face you can make it disintegrate or something, or even turn it invisible |

What kind of sleep mask do you use? Is it comfortable? I've been using a home-made blindfold-type sleep mask that fits loosely around my head. |
