      Sleep Mask Difficulties.

I've been recently sleeping with a sleep mask and it has been giving me a lot of difficulty. The majority of my lucids have come through false awakenings lately but when I perform a reality check everything is still pitch black and I realize I have my sleep mask on. When I attempt to take it off it's like it's glued to my face and I have to rip it off removing small portions at a time. I've tried imagining it away, I've tried imagining I'm somewhere else, etc but it's always on. Sometimes by the time I get it off I've disrupted my dream so much that I wake up. I don't want to have to sleep without it as it helps remarkably with the light but it's definitely hurting my lucid dreaming. Any advice would be appreciated.

What's the light condition in the room? Do you sleep with it on, or is their just light from outside or something?

Ignore the fact that you have your sleep mask on. So what if it is? You don't need your eyes to see in a dream.

Incredibly bright, if I don't have it on I'll wake up constantly.

I've tried ignoring it but it manages to find its way

Is the light from outside or from your room?

Outside, the only way to stop is to put up window curtains which isn't feasible at the moment.

Ah right. You could try sleeping with your eyes under the covers if that's comfortable. Or just try and find a way so that when it's stuck on your face you can make it disintegrate or something, or even turn it invisible

What kind of sleep mask do you use? Is it comfortable? I've been using a home-made blindfold-type sleep mask that fits loosely around my head.
      It's all in your head.

I'll try that tonight and see how well it goes. Thanks.
