      Dream guides - A placebo?

I currently have a lot of interest in looking for my dream guide as I really want some "inside" help on improving my LD time span and ability. I've read that a lot of dream powers and ability rely on belief and intent. This has led me to the conclusion that dream guides are just an effective way of helping the dreamer believe that their potential powers are possible, rather than being an actual teacher.

I'm interested in what people who have met their dream guides think, discuss!

Of course it is. As far as I know that's what they're supposed to be. It's not like the dream guide is a physical thing apart from your mind that people think are something else. (*holy shit a detailed dream I had last night literally just came back to me..*) They're supposed to work because you believe they will. That's the impression I got from the 1 time I've heard it mentioned, anyway. I know nothing about this.

Eh, I always thought DGs were nothing more than DCs that were self-aware and wanted to help a dreamer. Which in my case, did nothing but annoy me, so had to fire him <.<

they can give you ideas you wouldnt really think of from your subconcious, and since its someone else who supposedly knows how to work the dream you think it works and it does. also they can be a tool for tasks as well, like if you were being followed by an annoying dc, just tell your dream guide to take care of it and they can catch up. if you assume they can do it it's done.
