      Deild success , lucid fail.

Last night some time in the morning i remember noticing that i had just woken from a dream and i tried to DEILD . I immediately felt myself going into sleep paralysis but then i thought i had failed because i wasnt in a dream , then i opened my eyes rolled over and was in my bathroom. I went into my room and it was full off people talking about lucid dreaming , i joined in on there conversation and went along with the non-lucid dream. When i woke from this dream i was really angry at myself for not noticing it was a dream , even though the whole dream was based on the topic of lucid dreaming... I know it happens to alot of people but i felt like an idiot
Current task : Have one lucid dream within next 3 weeks.

Sorta happened to me last night to I wasn't DEILDing though. My "friend" texted me and said that he was lucid dreaming and he was swimming around talking to fish and stuff and I was like nah thats bs. Then I went to his house and he kept trying to convice me he did and I was like "no I know for a fact you didn't cuz I'm better than you at everything you have ever tried to do, except masturbating." And I didn't become lucid

P.S. I know I sound like a jerk haha but I'm not, I'm just rather ticked off at the kid right now.

This sort of thing is so frustrating, I had a sort of similar experience when taking a nap a few days ago.

So I was lying down trying to WILD but wasn't having much luck and figured something might be distracting me. Got up and out of bed and realized I had left my laptop on and I figured that the humming might be the distraction, so I turned my laptop off. I decided everything was perfect to try and WILD again so I went back to bed. After what felt like 15 minutes or so I must of fell asleep because I woke up about 2 hours after I'd first tried to nap. I got out of bed and looked at my desk and saw that my laptop was still on. I was super confused at first until I realized that I was actually dreaming when I turned it off and felt like a complete idiot trying to WILD when I was already in a lucid dream .

Don't feel to bad about it, just keep practicing. You can only get better with time, dreams sort of have that soft pillow feeling where when you're off the pillow but in a uncomfortable position while you're on the pillow your relaxed. That's how I view it anyways, I think I had that happen one time but I can't remember.

Yeah, I hate that so much
It makes me feel so stupid when I wake up from the most unrealistic dream and not know I was dreaming.
I have at least 1 dream maybe 2 every night and I never do RC's in dreams and when I DO, I just wake up or my dream turns into a nightmare.
You and me both have to get used to doing reality checks during the day.
