      Interesting discovery.

Last I went to bed with my usual intention of having a lucid dream, I fell asleep and I had a dream. In this dream I was trying to go to bed (LOL), but I was having trouble. I know at least one person was in the dream as well, but I have a faint memory of 1-2 other people being there also.
Anyone during the dream I could just not go to sleep even though in reality I went to bed extremely quickly, I think I was also striving to have a lucid dream (Ohh the irony)

I get up from where I was sleeping and suddenly I had a bloody nose, I go to the bathroom with one of the other dream characters. I turn on the shower, I then turn the shower head to jet to get some water. I sniff some water up my nose and then let it out to really clean it out. The blood is drained, I then fill my mouth with water and push it to the back of my throat where my nose is to finish cleaning.

When I spit out the water the same amount of blood comes out as the first time which was weird considering my nose was nearly completely clean.

Suddenly I find my self in another dream, I was either lucid or dreaming I was lucid, either way the dream collapsed and I found my self in complete darkness.
It was not my eyelids though, I know I wasn't wake, because for some reason I felt like I was in a dream.
I am then thrusted back into the same dream, I'm outside on my driveway, this time I try to stabalise and clear the dream, I rub my hands together it it does clear up a little bit, I the for some reason clap my hands, and an amazing thing happened.

As I clapped I saw the great flash of light, light up the sky, I't was orange/blue with clouds in the sky. It was amazing, I hd clapped multiple times in slow succesion, and the same thing happened, this great flash of light had occured.

It wasn't the kind of light your thinking of, the kind thats white and is almost blinding. This kind of flash was as if the sun was off and then suddenly turned back on, then the light extremely quickly but not immedietly lit up the sky like in the very beggining hours of the morning.

I just found this experience amazing. the clapping had cleared up the dream completely, then this miraculous thing happened.

From looking back at it, it seems like one, it made the dream more vivid, and it seems like a great RC.

I just would like to see what you guys had to say about it.

      Hi Tripoli.
Thanks for sharing your fascinating dream experience, I have been trying to find a method to
help stabilize my dreams I have tried rubbing my hands together and touching things etc with
      limited results.
Next time I become lucid I will clap my hands together and see what happens.
When this happens I will report back my experience.

This seems like it would be a great dream sign, I just never clap in my dreams, so it probably wouldn't ever happen

It sure does sound like a fantastic dream sign! I'm not sure how many people regularly clap in their dreams - but if you do, it sounds pretty effective. Maybe it's so effective because you've convinced yourself that it'll stabalize the dream or something?

I had a lucid last night and remembered to see what effect clapping would
have on the dream in the hope it would improve the vividness of the dream
unfortunately I noticed no improvement in vividness there was an occassional
flash in the sky as i clapped but nothing too dramatic.
I clapped my hands together about a dozen times during the course of the dream.

Some people may experience more positive results using this method than I did
Just thought I would share my experience for anybody who is interested.

Isn't that funny? Putting in all that work into wanting to have more lucids to just dream about wanting to lucid dream. The signs can sometimes be RIGHT there, but our oblivious selves don't always see them. It can be very disappointing.

So as you said, "Oh, the irony."
