It really depends on the person. There's no set time in which you will have good recall. For me it took a week of dream journaling until I was able to remember 2-3 dreams a night. There are a lot of people that struggle with it though. WBTB can help with recall. Also when you wake up try to recall the dreams immediately with as little motion as possible. I'll occasionally have nights where I wake up and don't recall any dreams. But after 5-10 minutes of trying I'll eventually remember a dream fragment which will lead to most of the dream, which will lead to other dreams. If you don't remember dreams right off the bat keep trying; you may be surprised what one little memory can lead to. |
