      Havig trouble DEILDing.

So, for the past month or so i have been trying to have a DEILD but just don't seem to have success, at the moment im remembering roughly one or two dreams per night and i record them in my DJ.

So i go to sleep and relax using auto-suggestion "i will wake up after every dream and stay still" however this just doesn't seem to work i don't tend to wake in the middle of the night but often in the early morning (after the sun has risen) i do this a number of times practicaly every day, when i wake up i stay still and try to re-enter my previous dream witch i often manage to do however i don't become lucid. any help or advice would be extremely helpful and much appreciated!

If you are going back into the dream, but not becoming lucid...you are simply losing consciousness. DEILD is a type of WILD and the same basics apply. You need to enter the dream state directly from the waking state without a lapse in consciousness. DEILD is very easy if you can become conscious either at the end of a dream, or as you are waking from the dream. If you wake up first, it becomes a bit more difficult.

You need to keep your eyes closed and try not to move. Use your will power or a visual anchor to keep your mind conscious. I recommend keeping a casual watch on the darkness behind your closed eyes. You need to fall asleep, but in order to keep consciousness, you need to display a certain amount of focus. Too much focus and you won't be able to fall asleep. Not enough focus and you will lose consciousness. It just takes some practice. Good luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!
