      Crazy theory

I just had a crazy theory - is it possible to summon a dream guide during a lucid dream and get he/she/it to teach you all sorts of stuff?

I thought this might be possible because you know.. anything is possible in a dream.

      So.. any thoughts on this?

So.. I can say Oi you come here! Teach me how to surf a 30ft wave? Or does it have to be within our physical capabilities or something?

Ok I'll change my question a little: What is preventing some of the most skilled lucid dreamers from becoming Einsteins and stuff?

Well, I suppose its whether we are able to understand that knowledge ourselves.. but I still wanna see ideas from everyone.

What do you mean, from becoming Einstein? You can't get real world knowledge from a dream guide... Dream guides teach you how to fly, not quantum physics...

dude I love your avatar, it's Avatar! I have had so many dreams where I can bend!!!
but I want to meet a dream guide that has wings, because wings in a dream are the best by far,
and dreamguides are like the missing half of you it's the part that can lucid dream!

Nikola Tesla was a lucid dreamer and came up with his inventions (radio, wireless, AC current, flourescent lightbulbs, unlimited free energy from the ionosphere, etc.) in lucid dreams.
But honestly, any good dream guide will want to teach you how to evolve spiritually step by step, like Mr. Miyagi, you may think that you are just learning dreaming skills. I doubt that
can just download anything like in the Matrix, but try surfing a 30 foot wave in a dream, it will be much easier and safer than in waking life. But perhaps if you were already a surfer,
and kept practicing in waking life AND in dreams, you could get it. And Einstein was smart, but not as smart as people like to give him credit for. He was smart, but it isn't like he was
another species of human or anything. He was kind of absent minded, always misplacing his keys and leaving the kettle on the burner, etc. He had a lot of knowledge borrowed from
previous generations of scientists to build on. That is the way science is. Einstein didn't come up with all of it, he just built a new layer on the tower of knowledge. There were other
scientists also working on the same theories. And Einstein was wrong about somethings. You don't need a dream guide to become an Einstein, or to surf 30 foot waves. You just need
to study a lot, think creatively and outside of the box. (Dream guides can help with that last one.) Ask your dream guide for an invention that will solve humanity's most urgent problems
right now, like free energy. Yes, Tesla already figured it out, but his inventions were confiscated by the U.S. government. Ask your dream guide how to get around this. It might tell you
      that capitalism is an obstacle.

I did that once, and only once. I was learning how to understand the language in dreams and why it was presented that way. I had a fit, a tantrum and wanted my answer in plain English. A dream guide showed up and we walked a ways to a tree. I sat down and he asked me a question. "How do you feel about your progress?" The question crushed me, I never did that again. In one sentence, I felt the full brunt of my own arrogance.

As a learning environment, the student is the student and the teacher is the teacher. The human mind is composed of two things emotions and reason. Lucid dreams may be aimed at emotional modification or at the modification of understanding or both.

Thank you all for your replies. I suppose applying what you learn in a dream to real life does have its limits. I saw a documentary about lucid dreaming and it said that some of the greatest minds actually got their ideas from dreams ie. Einstein dreamed that his snowsled went at the speed of light etc

There are many accounts of people gaining information in their dreams that they would otherwise have no knowledge of which I think is what you are getting at. Obviously your dream figures aren't always going to give you strait answers to everything though.
