      Trouble remembering dreams!!

The first few weeks of writing in my DJ was easy..I would remember at least one dream everytime I wake up..no it seems to be slowing down and now when I wake up I can't remember any dreams anymore but I know I just woke up from one bc I have that feeling and emotion still...what should I do??

How many hours of sleep do you get on average? and how are you woken up at mornings? Those could really affect your dream recall. You should also try telling yourself before you go to sleep, that you'll remember your dreams or wake up after every dream..like a mantra or autosuggestion.

If you are still feeling any emotion from your dream you can journal that. Anything you write down helps.

Sleeping more can help. If you aren't already, start sleeping 8-9 hours a night. Of course your schedule might not permit this but it really helps.

How do you wake up? Does an alarm go off and you jolt out of bed and go about your day? A more gentle wake up and some time to lay in your bed recalling dreams really helps.

You might also try WBTB where you wake up several times throughout the night and record whatever you can. This method works really well for me and I think it would be good practice because then you are writing in your dream journal three or four times each night rather than just the one time in the morning.
