      First lucid dream - questions

Right so I've been trying to lucid since I joined, but kinda gave up after 6 months. Even stopped keeping a DJ. Was just enjoying the dreams I was having.

But last night I decided to WBTB. Got up at 4am, came on here and read how to do it, went back to bed and sadly I couldn't get back to sleep for almost an hour. I don't know if I stayed up too long or if it was cause I couldn't stop thinking about what I was trying to do.

Anyway I got to sleep eventually and had a really quick lucid. I was in my room getting dressed and I put on my hoody and looked at the sleeve and noticed it was black when I knew it should've been red. So I looked at my fingers (the only RC I occasionally do) and it was really hard to count them, they were kinda blury and seeing double. So I instantly knew I was lucid.

However I got excited, although I tried not too, and some kind of feeling came over me and I must've been loosing control. The edges of the originally bright vivid room started to fade and when I tried to move it was kind of like I was drunk, I could hardly walk, I kept kind of staggering around. Then I quickly remembered, "I am lucid the world is vivid" and kept saying that over and over but everything just faded away and I woke up.

      So my questions are

      1) When I was trying the WBTB I kept feeling a blanket type feeling come over me after 5 minutes of lying still. Is that SP? Because I could still break out of it fairly easy if I wanted to. I never got further than that feeling.

      2) Is it normal to start a dream semi lucid? I felt I had control right from when I looked at my sleeve and that's kinda when the dream started AFAIK.

      3) Has anyone else had the problem where they struggle to walk? Does that mean anything?

So overall I'm glad I finally had one, even if I did lose a bit of sleep and it wasn't a very good one. I hope I might be able to get back into it now and have more.

      Thanks.

      1) Yeah that would be SP, it isn't all that weird that you could break out of it easily really, how easy it is depends on the person.
      2) Yes, most have lucids naturally, maybe because of the mindset you were in it came easier.
      3) Sometimes it is hard to move, but I can easily overcome it by stopping and focusing a bit on my body.
