Strange Lucid Problem - 3d haze

All, I'm had a nice experience today. For the first time ever, I didn't DILD, instead I rolled off the sofa into a lucid dream. I woke at 4.30 automatically as I do now, and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm not at home at the moment, and with the unfamiliar surroundings as well as a lot of noisy water dripping, birds, etc, sleeping was impossible.

After 20 mins tossing and turning I went over to the couch in the lounge as I was too hot. As I dozed off, I rolled off the sofa (not in reality), and ended up on the floor which was fine. I knew this because I had full body sensation and awareness, I was however, as usual, completely blind.

"Clarity now", and looking at hands and stuff works great when you're already in a scene and it's foggy or whatever. This situation is like what is happening to a lot of my DILDs lately too - I'm in this 3d haze. I don't think it's THE "3d blackness" which I have never experienced before as far as I know. It's 3d but it's just this void that looks a bit like a slightly red/yellowy/orange colored tv static type thing that surrounds me. I can feel myself moving my non-real hands and legs, etc, but I'm completely immersed in this thing and can't see anything. Clarity now, trying to spin, looking at hands doesn't make any difference.

      Any ideas?

Use all your senses. I find techniques never work well for me, but activating and focusing on your senses works wonders. Perhaps it will help you out, perhaps not.

What i would say is try touching things and focusing on the texture, bend down and smell it as well. Focus on what you hear, and perhaps there is something nearby you can taste. If you cant find anything to do, rub your hands together real fast and focus on the friction and resulting heat.

Basically put your attention into the little details and it should help intensify the larger things.

If the dream isn't clear, dark, or hazy, I find that rubbing myself on a textured wall helps. Awkward, but hey - I don't mind if imaginary people come to watch. I'm the boss of my own dream.

If you're inside a building and there isn't a lot of visibility in terms of haziness, imagine that someone accidentally left the stove on and there's just some smoke inside - "if I go outside, it'll be much clearer". If it's dark, you can imagine that the power went out. Create a scenario that is believable in the dream, so it'll be easier for the darkness problem to go away. "Oh, not a power outage again... Well, it's day time, so I can just walk outside."

Visualize the clarity as you walk out the door, paying attention to the details - the smell, perhaps the sensation of the sun getting in your eyes, etc. You can also simply command the dream to "clear up". A saying that works well is "clarity now", like -InsaneKid- already mentioned.

There's a bunch of different possibilities in your situation.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
