You're on the right track! Hallucinations and seeing things behind your eyelids is totally normal. It can be unnerving at times, but it's all a part of the falling asleep process. You go through it every night, but you're usually unconscious when it happens... So, it can't harm you. Although it may freak you out or make you too excited to continue at first, you'll get used to it after a few tries (maybe even sooner than that). Once you get hallucinations and other "symptoms" of SP, ignore them as much as you can, and don't stress out. Passively imagine a dream sequence forming around you; imagine what things will feel like, look like, smell like... Keep relaxing into the SP and get your mind focused on creating a dream. In other words, go with the flow.

You can couple WILD with WBTB! That way, even if you fail the WILD you attempt during the WBTB, you still have a chance at having a DILD. You did pretty good for a first try at WILD though, so keep trying that before only using WBTB.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Read Puffin's DILD guide and go DILD all the way. Unless you're cool with getting out of bed early in the mornings..

Im a avid supporter of wbtb method i've had 4 ld since 4/29 becasue of it and i may be on pace for 10 before the months up. if u do decide to go down this road play with your wake up times 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, 6am 7am, 8am. i went into a funk with wbtb when i always got up at the same time. 2am worked for me last night. namaste.
