      Major Help!@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Okay, I want to lucid dream so badly it's not even funny. I know that it takes time and stuff but on my first attempt to lucid dream, I tried to WILD and i felt the vibrations and got to excited and woke up before entering the dream state. I have been trying to feel those vibrations or a sign or something to let me know that i am going into a dream. I haven't felt any physical signs in a long time. No vibrations, no swirly pictures, no nothing. Also when i go to sleep i try to keep my mind alert but sometimes i just give up and go to sleep. And btw what is the maximum time for the phyiscal sensations to hit you body?

PLEASE HELP ME AND POST TIPS. ty

The physical sensations don't always happen. Some people experience them every time, others never experience them. They are a good sign that you are on the right track, but they should not be a goal in themselves. If you want to improve your chances, try to WILD the same way you did before, only in the middle of the night, after about 4 or 5 hours of sleep.

I've never sucessfully completed wild so i cant speak on that but if your ever looking for something else to try i would study the wbtb method it seems to be a method that produces the best results for me personally, but like anything else it can use some tweaking to reach perfection. Either way i hope you find a technique that works for you best. namaste

Perhaps WILD just isn't your thing. I suck at it too. Perhaps it is a good idea to try something like ADA?

If WILDing is too hard for you (It is for a lot of people), you should try DILD (dream induced lucid dream), by increasing you everyday awareness, and asking yourself if you're dreaming through out the day( When you question it make sure you REALLY think about it.) You could mix it with a Wake-Back-to-Bed(WBTB). That combination is very effective for me.

If you're gonna try to WILD, don't try at the beginning of the night. Like Robot Butler said, try it after at least 4-5 hours of sleep--you'll have a lot better chances to successfully have a WILD.

I'd recommend simply increasing your awareness of the world around you and go for a DILD (as said by the above poster). Periodically ask yourself how you got to where you are right now, every little detail of how you got there; in a dream, you will most likely (and I mean like 99% of the time) not be able to remember how you got to where you are--you'll just remember being one place and then where you are now, nothing in between. So just focus on things like that, and stuff like if something looks unnatural/fake. In dreams, light may be distorted (for example, one candle illuminating an entire large room, or what should be a very bright light is very dim) and every day objects may look different or fake/cartoony. At least in my experiences, anyway.
