Effects of meditation on lucid dreams?

Can meditation affect lucid dreams? if so, how? Could you use it to increase the amount of lucid dreams you have?

You can use a LD-related mantra in the form of autosuggestion that can increase the frequency of LDs. It won't be as effective as other methods, but when paired with them those other methods it'll help.

Certain forms of meditation raise your overall awareness, which is a great thing for LD. And yes, it also helps implanting LD-related mantra's.

Meditation can effect the induction of lucid dreaming, it will relax your mind enough to fall asleep at anytime during the day. Even if your wired up on sugar or caffine. Thus increasing your chances to go lucid. namaste. There are many other benefits to meditation also.

"when you fall unconscious, what your mind expresses is a dream.
When you are aware, what your mind expresses is creativity. It creates your life.
When you are in a higher state of consciousness, it not only creates the life of whatever you want, but also on whom ever you want". -LifeBlissFoundation

Meditation is great practice for WILDs. It trains you in achieving the mind awake / body asleep state.

Meditation also helps me become more self-aware during the daytime and less wrapped up in distractions, so that when I'm dreaming at night I have a greater chance of becoming self-aware and lucid.
