anyone have a similar experience?

Okay so I had a dream where I was walking down my old neighborhood and then I realized "I've been here before." I turned around and started running as fast as I could to what felt like, catch the bus on time or catch something in time. I had this strong feeling of panic and dread that I was going to miss something... My main concern was to get to my old street corner, but at this moment I don't know if I really knew exactly what it was that I was trying to catch. The whole time I was running I was crying my eyes out dreading that I wouldnt make it. When I reached my old street, as I'm approaching the corner I sawthis older black male who appeared to be a traffic conducter. I knew him in my dream, I leaped into his arms and was crying hysterically and I kept apologizing for forgetting about him and crying "how could I forget you". He held me and comforted me and he talked me into being calm I think, but I can't remember our conversation or how I knew him. Either way somehow I knew that I would never see him again, or atleast not for a long time. I'm not sure if he told me this or if I just knew that I was going to wake up and forget all about my dream or lucid dream. I just stood there holding on to him crying because I wanted to stay with him. the rest is a blur I guess... I feel like this might have been a common dream character of mine that I have built a strong relationship with in the dream realm or my dream realm. It may be a spiritual guide of some sort. all I know is the feeling of love and care that I had for this person was so intense. To wake up felt like letting somone I loved die. anyone have a similar experience? What do you make of mine?

Hi Baught..I have had something similar before..I know this Man in my dream...I see him sometimes in my dreams and he always talks to me , sometimes a long conversation sometimes a short one...so he is basically a DC I have some kind of attachment to and I feel very close to him, not in a sexual way but in a TRUE friend way if you know what I mean. Sometimes I hug him as I have missed him if I haven't seen him in a while and in my dream I cry when he says he is leaving, I get sooo upset and want him to stay..I have even woke up literally crying and have had an empty feel to me all day..he is like my bestest friend ever..weird..didn't think it was something anyone else experiences..even if I'm not lucid ill know he's in my dream... just not enough to get me lucid although I have once. I sometimes say "what happened to you in my last dream" yet I don't get lucid ..god damn it lol but yeah, theres my little tale of my man friend lol.

I feel emotions so strongly in my dreams, I end up falling in love with just about everybody. Maybe he really was someone you have met before, in dreams, in your forgotten past, in another life. Maybe he was just in the right place at the right time. Either way, you know him now. Don't forget him. With lucid dreaming, you can always find him again.

Dang thats intense! I really want to try and contact him again, but for some reason I feel like seeing him had something to do with the dreamscape I was in. Recognizing the dreamscape made me remember that he'd be there I think...I think I might have entered a dreamscape I was always in as a kid, that would kind of explain why I was on the street I used to live on as a kid. Because I find that my lucid dreams are always in either common dreamscapes or actual common places in my waking life (like my current street or bedroom. Thats awesome that you have a similiar experience though, I hope I can someday meet him again like how you meet your DC. I also felt sad upon waking though, and I felt bad that I didn't remember as much as I wanted to.

I met someone like this in a dream once. I was walking over a bridge and I met an jolly, old, well rounded to^^ say politely man. No joke. I've never met him before but I remember feeling a strong connection with him. Like said early, like a good friend. He wore a straw hat and had a flowered shirt on and we just talked and walked alongside a river. I then woke up. It was very interesting.
