You reminded me of a CRAZY dream I had back in high school. You'll think I'm making this all up, but I swear it's all true. It's one of the dreams that got me interested in dreaming in the first place.
I was a crew member on the Starship Enterprise (Next Generation) and I was walking all over the deck looking for a toilet. You never see one on the show, so I didn't know where to go. I finally asked someone, and they directed me to a normal-looking starship door that said "bathroom" on it. I walked inside, and all the toilets were overflowing and disgusting. A friend of mine from high school walked in just then, and I said to him, "Dude, why doesn't anyone ever flush after themselves?" By now I was entering a dirty stall, and there was a button behind the toilet marked "Flush." I reached to push it, and just as I did, my friend yelled, "Noooooo!!!"
The toilet flushed, leading to an explosive decompression of the room. I grabbed onto the side of the stall (which was somehow really large now) and held on for dear life as my feet flew up and aimed for the toilet. I looked just in time to see my friend's head sticking up out of the toilet with his elbows over the bowl, trying desperately not to get sucked down. He lost the battle and disappeared with a "FLUNK!"
The decompression stopped, and I was able to regain my feet. Captain Picard and Commander Riker rushed in, and Picard demanded to know, "What happened in here! Sensors detected an explosive decompression!" I knew I was in big trouble, and none of this struck me as funny at the time. I looked at the floor and replied, "I flushed the toilet, sir." He yelled, "You did WHAT!?" Riker piped up then with his usual drama, "Everyone knows not to flush a toilet on a starship!" Picard looked around and asked, "Where is ensign Risener? Wasn't he in here with you?" I replied dejectedly, "I flushed him down the toilet, sir."
I don't know if that's exactly where I woke up, but that's all I ever remembered of the dream. And I remember laughing all day at school the next day, especially in the classes I had to share with "ensign Risener."
