Thread: Should I write down my old dreams in my journal?

When I was 6-8 years old I had lucid dreams sometimes even though I didn't realize it. I didn't have control over my dreams then, but I did know I was dreaming.

Now, suddenly my dream recall is very crappy after a remember-streak. I decided not to write down one dream in my journal and then all of a sudden, I'm not even remembering one second of my dreams in my journal. So I'm really desperate right now especially since I'm practicing WILD and I have to see if I'm actually going into SP.

So should I write down my dreams from about 4-6 years ago including the latest dream that I could remember? Do you think it will increase my dream recall?

I don't think that dreams from that long ago, or even more than a few days ago, can affect your recall. Just write down anything you dream now and don't stress it. You don't HAVE to have a good recall. That pressure will only make it worse. Try taking a week off if you feel like you need to. Recall also goes up and down and even the best of us has dry spells.
