      what was before those gases....

I think ill find that out in my dreams.... lol

There was nothing, just a complete total void.
Then god said... let there be light and BAM, god itself entered the universe as the entire mass of the current universe exploding in a superheated plasma from a singularity.

*Wonders if current day black holes fed the original singularity*
I blend science with spirituality if you hadnt guessed =)

Now my question is the dream realm... I think that it has always existed, therefor cannot end.

Another interstng theory is that if the hubble constant is not large enough, all matter will ultimately collapse back into a singularity and then rebound in another 'Let there be light' event, forming a new universe full of (eventually) lucid dreamers.

Looks though like the hubble constant of this universe is large enough so that our universe will experience heat death.

Good news though, the average age of a univers experiencing heat death is about 1000X longer than the other.

I'm pretty sure God is out there, from personal expiriences, and also i'm sure that when he said those 4 words, everything formed.

But the big fuckin bang theory, its a load of crap (IN MY OPINION! )
As i said in another post, i cannot accept the fact that the reason my lungs expand and contract is an accident.

Strange! Why did you pick the lung expansion and contraction as proof of God's existance? I haven't heard that one before.

It was just an example, because i dont think than anything short of God could have developed our lungs at the same time the atmosphere was being developed, and the way oxygen turns into Co2...

its just the most practical defintion of life, the way my lungs expand and contract voluntarily or involuntarily to my comand...at least to me...

      Woahhhh!!!

Let's for a minute just think about this (and not to put down religions)
and this will be a blah balh blah talking about nothing so dont listen to this paragraph..paragraph

Before man there was god ok... and he said let there be light...
how was he talkin english "lol" he coulda said

Je veux du lumiere...(this is a joke) haha..er no.. aww

      and second of all ....

ok there is nothing else to believe but in god ... because face it ...what we dont know scares us .... especially thousands of years ago when religions first started .... (before all the books) (im talking 10000) nobody knew anything so they just started making things up.... (this is only my theory)
I know this must really piss you off if you are religious... as it would piss me off if someone were trying to impose his/her beliefs on me very strongly....

In my theory ... whne we die nothing happens. we rot and we have no clue anything is going on because were dead.... kaput ... nottin.... and to make little boys and girls be good they were told if they did bad things then they would go to hell... or maybe everyone just thought that....???

In conclusion this was a big waste of time writing this big sentence since noone really cares...

everything came from one point of infinite density its been expanding for many many many many many many many years.... but at one point it will stop expanding and it will start to contract. all time will reverse. we will be reborn. we will be born once the embalming fluid is taken from us and we warm up enough for our hearts to start pumping again. we will live our lives in reverse. we will see all our mistakes, our triumphs... we will remember everything, and forget it all as we slowly crawl back into our mother womb and deteriorate into the little single cell organism that we started out as. -- how's that? i thought of it while i was stoned off my ass the other night.

i got my inspiration while reading kurt vonnegut's alughterhouse five for like the 20th time... here's the quote that sparked this theory.

"He turned on the television. He came slightly unstuck in time, saw the late movie backwards, then forwards, again. It was a movie about American bombers in the Second World War and the gallant men who flew them. Seen backwards by Billy, the story went like this:

American planes, full of holes and wounded men and corpses took off backwards from an airfield in England. Over France, a few German fighter plans flew at them backwards, sucked bullets and shell fragments from some of the planes and crewman. They did the same for wrecked American bombers on the ground, and those planes flew up backwards to join the formation.

The formation flew backwards over a German city that was in flames. The bombers opened their bomb bay doors, exerted a miracolous magnetism which shrunk the fires, gathered them into cylindrical steel containers, and lifted the containers into the bellies of the planes. The containers were stored neatly in racks. The Germans below had miraculous devices of their own, which were long steel tubes. They used them to suck more fragments from the crewmen and planes. But there were still a few wounded Americans, though, and some of the bombers were in bad repair. Over

France, though, German fighters came up again, made everything as good as new.

When the bombers got back to their base, the steel cylinders were taken from the racks and shipped back to the United States of America, where factories were operating night and day, dismantling the cylinders, separating the dangerous contents into minerals.

Touchingly, it was mainly women who did this work. The minerals were then shipped to specialists in remote areas. It was their business to put them into the ground, to hide them cleverly, so they would never hurt anybody ever again.

The American fliers turned in their uniforms, became high school kids. And Hitler turned into a baby, Billy Pilgrim supposed. That wasn't in the movie. Bill was extrapolating. Everybody turned into a baby, and all humanity, without exception, consipred biologically to produce two perfect people named Adam and Even, he supposed."

      i worship this man.

So your concluding that gravity will indeed prevail in the end? I have different views on this considering the speed that the universe is expanding and is in fact speeding up rather than slowing down. Although for your theory to be correct the universe would just have to be at the begginging of its cycle. Like a balloon it expands at the beginning moving quicker and quicker until reaching a point where it its speed becomes constant(its mid-life) then again changing where as gravity would take control and everything begins moving backwards. That is of course unless the universe itself has an infinite volume of nothingness to expand into and gravity in the universe is always under constant pressure(in a pushing sense) of its counter-force. Who knows though we all could be absolutely wrong.

if anybody here decides to study what exactly it would take, the chances and odds, for a planet to exist with, not only life on it, but life so intricate as we have on this planet, in so many different forms, i feel it is impossible to believe that there isnt at least some greater force or another working to some end or another...also, unfortunately it is impossible to prove that this existance is even real, or that anybody but myself is real, and this isnt all just a dream that im creating...the only thing we can prove as real is our own ability to perceive, or think...from there it is simply a matter of what you decide is truth...if you perceive that the universe was created in a big bang by God or that He spoke a few words and existance began, then to you, in the universe that resides within your mind, this is truth...has anybody watched the entire Evangelion series? (excluding the movie of course)...they have an interesting thought at the end, the Werburn than exists within my own mind, being myself, is not the same person than the Werburn that resides within the mind of say Seeker or my brother...although contrived from possibly the same source, given the different perceptions, and the different amounts of information each knows about the origional Werburn, they are, in essence, different Werburns...this is true with all things...creation to me is that a Greater Being created everything, and in my universe, this is true...if you feel inclined to perceive the universe as having been created by a random set of elements, working in, by complete chance, perfect unison, thus life was created, then to you in your universe this is true, regardless of what the origional singularity is...your deviation and my deviation may or may not be similar to the real and actual occurence, but what deos it matter?

umm well if you know anything about gigex (is that how you spell it) which produced evangelion, and the creator Anno, you'd know that the movie was jus anno being pissed about the fact that gigex forced him to make it (they had a contract)...the true end of evangelion according to Anno was the end of the series, but the fans hated that ending so Gigex said that it wasnt the end, that the movie was, and forced Anno to make an ending the fans would appreciate, so Anno was like 'you want an ending?' and made End of Evangelion....i should prolly go read up on that 2006 movie thing tho...i heard sumthin about it, but assumed it was jus a rumor (there are tons of eva rumors)...i wonder if Anno is doin the new movie cause he wants to or cause he has to (which could change it entirely), or if they got someone else to do it? meh...

I really shouldn't get into this discussion...but here it goes:
When you say that you can't believe that we humans and other higher life-forms could have existed without the act of some god (or eternal presence or that word the hindu has for it) then it sounds like you think that we just started out as complex life-forms and that would, I agree, be very improbable. But the fact(?) is we didn't just come to existance as humans; we started as a single-cell organism that then, through random mutations evolved intodifferen multi-cell organisms and then to more complex life. There was no doubt many failed mutations before the first lung-like organ was developed. When I think of it like that, I don't see how it's so unlikely.

And personally I believe the universe came from someones nose.

      *raises his hand*
      Still thinks Gods a scientist

According to new theories the universe is accelerating in its expansion and as seeker said entrophy will reighn... The heat death of the universe. Stars will slowly die out pulsars will cool, black holes will go dormant having nothing within reach to envelop.

Kinda bleak.. but hey we got a long run =)

Ok so the Hubble deep field picture, if you make a box with yout thumbs and forefingers and hold it at arms length and look into the night sky now imagine looking 12billion lightyears deep into that space, what do you find? thousands upon THOUSANDS of galaxies... Galaxies people we are but one in roughly 400 BILLION stars in our galaxy alone...

Given the sheer number of opportunities and the fact that we are only one solar system and we got life here, and recently we have been able to determin that with closer study most suns HAVE planets...

Why do we as humanity think we are so special that we are the only ones, everything STILL revolves around us. It is more probable that we are not the only ones out here floating in the vastness.

When you look upon the sky on a dark night and see all the stars shining in the sky, if your lucky you can even see the dim glow of the milky way... it looks like just a haze but its stars....

Dont you feel a sense of Awe? God instilled within us this sense for a reason... There is alot out there we dont know and it is so vast that you cannot comprehend the possibilities.

It is improbable that we are alone.

Life itself may not find habitation on all planets and solar systems but there are just so many...

And life isisnt limited to what we think it is...

Chemosynthetic bacteria... live in 400+degree water under thousands of pounds per square inch of pressure feeding off of minerals... they are life are the not.. .if life can exist in such a hostile environment as that...

Crap... Im sorry guys im ranting.. I just cant help myself sometimes.. I just dont understand how some can think that god created the earth and the earth alone to sustain life in such a vast universe. I do beleive in god and I do beleive that the universe was created but it was done in a matter so that it grew and formed on its own.. God is timeless, perhaps the very universe itself it has PLENTY of time to spare in order to let things grow and develop on its own, but according to rules and physical laws that cannot be broken. This is why I think god was a scientist.

We use it every day and learn more and more about ourselve and everything around us including the universe. It was wrong of science to separate itself from spirituality and wrong to think it was superior.
Without spirit science would not exist

And now for your movie quote of the day

"If we really are the only ones out here in the universe, it sure is a big waste of space"
"A knight is sworn to valor.

Just look at how we are born!

We start from two cells... two! thats it from two cells you get a living breathing organism with lungs eyes a heart...

There is so much information packed in those little strands of DNA and even those single sell creatures have DNA

Granted evolution is hard to beleive but people we are living in the best of times! the world is comfortable right now, there is no need for the drastic changes that science dosent understand, yet. Its a matter of stress the more duress a species is under the more quickly it will evolve.

DNA happens to have a resonance of 42hz or Khz I cant remember heeh its still 42 though =P

And how come we were created with a bum organ? called the pancreas? all it does is cause people problems, whats it for? everything else has a purpose? The theory is that it was used to help digest cellulose back when we were more herbivores instead of hunter gatherers.

I dont want you all that think what is spewing from my mouth is BS to think I am undermining your beleifs I am not! Its just that this is the path I am on and what I have come to beleive. You may beleive whatever you want I am just trying to give you an idea of how I see the world, I hope you all do the same too! =)

Sorry I get all passionate about this but I really do beleive that Science AND spirituality are my path.

Yea I think this is going to be one of the main problems we will have in searching for life. We wont know what kind of conditions other lifeforms can live in. For some reason most people think that to live life needs to be under the same environment we are in which may be correct, but seeing as how big everything is makes it seem kinda like an ignorant assumtion.

There is actualy a mathematical probability equation called the Drake equation.
Each new planet we discover beyond out solar system the odd increase as to finding life out there. =) we already found 100.

The thing is, Intelligent life is going to be harder to find... the above is for just life in general. but for life to evolve and become intelligent thats the tricky part.

The earth has faced i think 3 mass extinctions, theoretically from Gamma ray bursts that fry off the ozone layer, and the earths climate changes drastically, (they are caused by supernova shockwaves) one could happen tomorrow...we dont know.

anyways earth is a very sheltered planet, we have a strong magnetic field which helps shield us from solar radiation our moon also is a good asteroid blocker/vacuume =) And yes the magnetic fields strength is decreasing, how long have we been measuring it though? We are a very impatient bunch with a small scope on time though, its cyclic in nature, why do you think its kept itself going, its a circuit.

As the magnetic field collapses it produces current, (tesla wished to harnes this in the form of free energy but he was laughed at) but once the field collapses enough the current having increased enough switches phase and induces a reverse polarity field.

So yeah our planet does have some unique qualities... but hey look at jupiter, saturn, each gas giants with many moons and rings (jupiter does have rings lil ones though.) two alike but dissimilar planets, im sure out there in the vastness another planet like earth is floating like a gem in the dark. I actually cannot wait till we get a probe on europa.

And it was my nose that the universe came from, the milky way was a nice big booger =P

I actually wouldnt be surprised if we discorvered that Earthlike planets were common among the galaxy. If you just think about it for a second you would realize how incredibly large just our galaxy is. 300-500 billion stars. Most containing planets. The possibility that some planet somewhere out in the galaxy has gone through similar events such as Earth would be pretty high I would imagine. I took 400 billion times 5(my random number insertion of the amount of planets per solar system, feel free to add to or from it) and came up with 2 trillion planets in our galaxy alone. Thats 2,000,000,000,000 planets!! And we have only found 100? Thats 1/20,000,000,000 the amount of planets we have left to discover...This is of course all in the event of each star actually having planets, but as we have seen so far it looks promising.
