Dramatic in what such way? Anything that will cause you to feel strong emotional charges is not something you could likely solve in the dream state unless you are able to control it, which you don't seem to be able to do. In this case, the only thing I can imagine is that you must confront in this material world what it is that is causing you to lose control in your dream state. For example, if you get so excited at the fact that you are lucid dreaming that it wakes you up, then you need to practice meditation to learn the ability to calm your senses. If you are having any type of confrontation, disturbing images and or fearful events in your dreams that is causing you to wake up or not be able to achieve your goal, then you should take note of what these things are and make an effort to work yourself through them. This way, when you are sleeping, you will have CONTROL over these things.

If you are just getting nervous and anxious as you begin to fall asleep in anticipation or because you are constantly startling yourself back awake then again I would say you should work on meditation. Meditation will greatly, greatly increase your ability to moderate these things.
