      Making fireballs

Last night I had my fourth lucid dream and at one point, I tried to make a fireball with my hands. At first all I could muster was a kind of weak blue orb that looked like it had little bolts of lightning in it. So I concentrated harder and the color turned from blue to yellow and a weak flame appeared in the middle. Then I tried to hurl it kind of the way a superhero would (X-Men maybe) but it only went about three feet before puttering out. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like that?

And the funny thing is, I would really love to fly in a lucid dream, since I've never done it. But so far the thought has never occurred to me after I've become lucid.

      Hi there my friend,
That also happened to me on my first try. But then, I got used after some time so now, I'm able to throw one at ease. I think what you need here is concentration. Don't just concentrate in forming the fireball but also concentrate on the throwing of the fireball. Believe and have confidence that you will be able to throw it a thousand miles away. The thing here is practice. If you get used to it, you'll be able to make one and throw one flawlessly. Another thing I also do is instead of creating a a fireball, I just pick one out of my pocket and voila! Instant fireball without the process of creation. But of course, confidence is needed here. Feel free to reply back and hope this helps

With my luck I'd probably end up setting myself on fire....lol. But then again, that's another one of my childhood fantasies.....being able to burst into flames like Johnny Storm, aka, the Human Torch. Growing up I was smaller than most kids my age and got picked on alot. I figured if I could "Flame On", the other kids couldn't touch me because they'd get burned....lol.

The fireball is by far my favorite offensive attack in LDs. It takes a little practice, yes, but there are times where I just don't have the energy to do it for whatever reason. But anyway, the way I do it is to draw energy from my solar plexus through my arms, into my hands and then between my hands. I try as much as possible to feel the heat from it. Sometimes, chanting a spell or mantra can help a lot. Then I throw it and will it to explode on contact with the target.

Maybe you just have to build up more energy? It helps to imagine the transfer of energy from your hand to the fire, which essentially feeds it and makes it bigger. Then when you throw it, push your hand out and fully expect the fire to continue going fast, not getting slower. Visualize it doing this. Confidence is really important too.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
