Screeching noise during lucid dream (or sleep paralysis)

Has anyone else ever had a lucid dream where there's a screeching noise in your ears? It feels very real, like you're going deaf. The dream is also a bit like sleep paralysis, cause in it, I'm always where I am when I fell asleep, when I move, I can feel my arm moving, but at the same time, it hasn't moved (physically in the dream, like some sort of virtual arm. I tried touching my nose once and it went through). I've been able to get out of bed once after trying very hard cause it felt like there was something clawing at me.
I’m dreading a time that is not near
As a man on a cross I have no fear

Yeah, that sounds like a WILD or a very similar type of experience. It's common to hear loud and sometimes frightening sounds - people shouting or screaming, knocking, pounding etc. I often experience that kind of auditory hallucinations in my dreams when I take Galantamine.

Yeah, Ive had that. Mine was when I was dreaming I was in a triathlon, when I dove underwater, the screeching came in - I then realised I was dreaming.
But yeah, not so much screeching when Im falling asleep. I hear loud bangs and cracks when Im in sleep paralysis.

I do love the common signs that dreamers get.. Spooky haha.

      Haha. Banging, knocking, whispers. Yep.

The clawing reminds me of a phase I went through. My cat likes to sleep draped across my legs. For a while there, one of the clues that I'd fallen asleep was that the dream cat would start clawing at me. Other times I start to feel floaty and can juuuuuust barely move, so I'll roll off the bed. Crawl toward a door or window to get 'Into' the dream.

But the sleep paralysis attack cat, that was a bizarre phase.

I like to think of the screeching as the dream equivalent of the dial-tone of old dialup modems- like the frequency of logging in to the dream world. It's scary as shit though.

I have had it too during a WILD. I always knew about it from other people, and I was more scared of the thought of experiencing it than I was when actually experiencing it. So long as I realised nothing could hurt me, I did not get scared at all.

I had a very similar experience during sleep paralysis as a child. Very loud static/screeching sound. I couldn't move at all though. At the time it really freaked me out. I only learned recently about SP, which cleared up a lot of residual confusion.

Well this freaked me out a little. I hear an incredibly loud screeching noise both entering and exiting dreams. When I do it my vision seems to zoom in or out from my body lying in either a real or dream bed.
