      So close...!

I started experimenting with MILD techniques last night, and that stuff is really powerful. Last night's dream actually involved me talking about my MILD experiments with my mom, and I still didn't get lucid! It was so close I could almost taste it. How did I not do a reality check?

MILD is great, probably one of the most effective techniques for a beginner if you want a quick LD. You can even be talking about being lucid or stuff like that without really realising that you're actually dreaming. It happens, don't worry! You'll catch it next time. Just practice the MILD techniques and your awareness. Good luck!

MILD is great as an introduction---but it's the no-holds-barred stuff you really want.

You mean like the crazy WILDs and such? I'd love to experiment with that, but SP scares me to death (which is something I really need to get over).

Doctor: there is nothing to worry about, as absolutely NO harm can come to you in any shape or form in a lucid dream. If someone in a lucid dream throws a spear at you for example, it will bounce off you or dissolve or something-------you become like a cartoon character or Superman/woman, but still feel and look like yourself.

In fact some of the best experiences lucidly are throwing yourself off a cliff or skyscraper, and enjoying the soaring, plummeting sensation. What I usually do is blast through the ground like Superman or even conjure up a missile-blaster to do this.

If you really want to be on the safe side though, you can make yourself waken up at any time [ideally before you hit the ground].

Most powerful dreams of this sort are so intense, they only last a short time, as your mind can only take so much feelings of ecstacy and excitement of this kind.

      Hope this helps!
