Android application that worked for me to attain lucidity FIRST TRY. & FREE

Now, I don't really make these type of posts and I'm not advertising in any way - I'm just informing of a wonderful application that helped me reach lucidity on it's first try. The application (Android based) is called Lucid Dreamer by GAURDANIS.

It plays a short bineural beat repeatedly after you have fallen asleep in order to help you realize that you are dreaming whilst you dream. You can set the beats to play after a certain amount of time. When I achieved this, I set the time to 1 hour and 25 minutes before playing the loop (I have trouble falling asleep, this is really personal preference).

If anyone has tried this application let me know what you think. I'm quite interested in hearing about them.

I have heard of this. Do you use head phones? Or do u just catch the sound in your sleep?

USE THIS! It is called "lucid dreaming" it is an app that monitors your sleep pattern. Such as your rem cycle, sound, and movement! Not advertising lol, but sugestI this could also be thread about apps that work ;D? Also it is free.

But back to the topic, that app does work if you are able to catch the sounds

I do not use headphones, as they hurt my ears because I sleep on my side. And I use that software as well =)

Nice, but you don't use both at once? Because the analyzer would pick up the sound.. also on the lucid dreamer, where on the graphs does it show REM?

Wait, when did you get your first lucid dream? According to your lucid dream count, it's over 9000!!

A question: If you didnt use headphones, then how is it possible that the bineural beats work? Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I know the point with bin. beats is that they are slightly different in each ear so that the brain gets a specific message?

      Wikipedia:

The brain produces a phenomenon resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the amplitude and sound localization of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each of a subject's ears, using stereo headphones. A beating tone will be perceived, as if the two tones mixed naturally, out of the brain. The frequencies of the tones must be below 1,000 hertz for the beating to be noticeable. The difference between the two frequencies must be small (less than or equal to 30 Hz) for the effect to occur; otherwise, the two tones will be heard separately and no beat will be perceived.

@WDr..... he actually is just catching the sound in the dream, and when he hears it, the brain reminds him he is dreaming... That is what i assume though.

WDr is right, you need headphones in order to get the bin. beats to work.
If the reason was what you said, any sound would do the work.

Yeah i know, i mean that the sound he heard was a reminder for him. He noticed it in his dream, as you would notice flashing lights from a NovaDreamer

Well, in the morning whenever my alarm clock goes off (it's a soft melodic ring) dream characters react to it for a few seconds before waking up. For instance, I was in class in a dream and my alarm went off. In the dream, it was the class phone ringing. My teacher went over to it, answered the phone and said something to me. At this point I woke. So I decided to further investigate with that technique using the application, turning music on just loud enough for me to catch but low enough to wake me up. The application works like a charm.

Maybe this is all in my mind actually, placebo if you will. But it is working for me.

I have downloaded the Lucid Dreamer app (Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro), but have somehow been really sceptical about using it. I'll try it tonight, won't hurt, right?
