I've noticed that I can pick up little facts or tidbits in my dreams that conflict with reality. For example, I'll be having a conversation with someone I know in real life has been dead for years. A few weeks ago I had a dream about watching a documentary about Brian Jones that said he died when he was 61. Dude died when he was 27. That's when I started to figure out I was dreaming.
