I think I met my dreamguide

So while lucid last night (and till the afternoon) I got a lot accomplished. This is mainly because when I'm lucid i think almost as clearly in waking life. I thought to myself 'hmm what task should I do'. I finished telekinesis which I was having trouble with then I called out "show yourself dreamguide". Surprisingly a man appeared out of nowhere and handed me his card, He was in a tux and looked very handsome. All that was on his card that i can remember was his name which i don't remember. My only problem is that He didn't feel like my dreamguide. I really expected it to be my other half, im a guy so i would assume a girl. Im just confused cause it did'nt feel like my dreamguide at all

It could be him, but if you feel like he isn't, then he isn't. I recommend trying to find him again and talking to him. Talking to him will probably reveal whether he is or not. If not, keep looking (if you want ofcourse). If he is: congratz

Like what spyguy said, if it doesn't feel right, its not him. I know some people who have tried multiple times, and each time a new person showed up, never his actual DG. I found mine, and things just clicked when it happened, but don't worry, dream guides have a habbit of showing up only when they feel like it. Good luck and happy dreaming!

It's not like your DG exists separately from you, you don't need to "find" him, you need to get your subconscious good and wrapped around the concept of a DG until it can handle it. It has to propogate a reoccurring character that has enough of a personality that it rises above moment by moment expectations to create something that appears static in it's existance. Maybe that will happen with this DC, maybe it will kick in with another. Thinking about it this way does not disempower DG's like a lot of people seem to believe, becuase when it does happen you will have an incredible, deep, alien personality to explore and learn from and it will be part of you, which is as amazing as anything else. Now that I got my preaching out of the way being honest with yourself and your beliefs will only help you grow faster and achieve your goals Maybe I'm wrong and DG's really come from somewhere else. You will know your Dream Guide when you see them. You'll start to question their very existence and how they relate to you, at least i did.

If you have doubts about him he is most likely not your dream guide. I am saying this from my studies in Lucidity though I haven't had one myself. So you may have seen him or may not, don't lose hope!
