Almost certain it was my first Lucid Dream. Is it just my bad recall?

Hey guys, last night I did WBTB. 12:30 to 6:00 or so I believe. Had people at my house keeping me awake lol

I woke up at 6:00 and was gonna try WILD but I was doing something wrong and gave up after a bit. I wrote down some stuff about lucid dreaming, thought about lucid dreaming. Went back to sleep at 6:15 possibly?

      My dream

I was in a computer lab at school with a teacher. I was the only student there. For some reason, I thought. "Isn't it saturday? Why am I at school." and I told the teacher I was dreaming, she told me to sit at a computer. I did the nose breathing RC and it worked! I had this crazy tingling feeling which was almost overwhelming but I span around sort of and stared at my hands. I didn't rub them or anything. I think the spinning around saved me.

Now I was at a different spot. From here it sort of gets murky. I remember thinking "oh yeah, girls."

I had giant hands, I could inflate them and deflate them. I remember opening several doors and I believe my sister was there at one point. I think towards the end of the dream I was in a building the whole time and I wanted to fly but then the dream ended. It was 7:00 and not a FA. Now I was excited when I woke up and wrote down a lot more than a usual dream. Way more.

I just have some things that are bothering me. I don't have good dream recall and some parts are sort of blank. I don't actually remember saying I am dreaming to that teacher. Some of the stuff I did doesn't seem like the stuff I would do. I also don't remember it as super vivid.

Was this a dream of becoming lucid lol? Is that even possible.

I think it was an LD just not a great one. Still, WBTB made some progress regardless.

Sorry for the post I'm just pretty confused. The thing that puts it in the favor of an LD is that feeling after RCing. When you recall LD's do you remember ACTUALLY choosing to do them?

It sounds like you were indeed lucid, it was just a lower level of lucidity. Your first few lucids are likely going to have low lucidity which translates to low control. Just the other night I had a dream in which I was lucid but I couldn't really control anything. I fought a bunch of people in a hotel room but I couldn't control what my body did, it just sort of went off on its own. The amount of control you have in your dreams will increase over time and with practice. I would say about my 5th LD or so I was having consistent fully in-control dreams. There's still the occasional "half-lucid" but it's not very often.

Most of the time when I'm lucid I remember actually choosing to do something, specifically a TotM or TotY, but other than that it's more of a go through any goals you have. If you don't have any then just let the ideas flow and pick one you like

Awesome, thanks for getting me out of my quandaries. I just have to practice my dream recall and have some more I suppose.

You can forget pieces of lucid dreams just as easily as regular dreams. They tend to be a bit more memorable, but you still need good overall recall.
