      Two important questions!

      Hey guys,

Okay so my two questions are, do you have to have a good dream recall in order to be able to lucid dream at all? And second, whats is a FILD, and how is it easier then a WILD, which is the one im trying to accomplish!
      thanks!

I am not sure what a FILD is. Look it up.

As for the dream recall, it is very important to have good dream recall in order to lucid dream. Although you can lucid dream without good dream recall, the chances of it happening are slim, and if it does happen you won't even remember it so good dream recall is definitely good to have. If you do not have a dream journal already I would recommend starting one. It helps a lot with dream recall.

Look at it this way, there's no point in being able to dream lucidly if you can't remember that it happened in the morning! I've had vague lucid dreams before joining this site (i.e. before training my dream recall), so there's still an element of chance involved. But generally, yes, you should do as much as you can to aid recall in order to get the best results.

      FILD tutorial: http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/finger...eam-fild-4779/

I don't have any experience with FILDing, but basically it's like a DEILD (a short WILD). The hardest part with WILDing is to remain slightly aware until you're in REM sleep. This often takes at least 15-30 minutes. When you perform a FILD or DEILD you're already very near REM, which makes it possible to enter a lucid dream much faster. Personally, I prefer the longer, traditional WILD technique (even though I still fail every now and then). Everything needs practise, and it's pretty easy to WILD once you know how it works!

You can WILD without having great dream recall. But if you happen to lose lucidity during the WILD, and continue on having a normal dream instead, there's a risk that you'll forget everything when you wake up. For example, I constantly wake up from my WILDs before this happens. Therefore, I always remember them crystal clear afterwards, even though I don't have a brilliant dream recall.

WILD is one of the hardes methods.
WBTB is one of the easiest and most effective method not only for getting lucid but also for getting better recall.
