      Dream Point of View

So I have un-lucid dreams in 3rd person. I have yet to become lucid (trying to us the breathing WILD thing tonight) and I'm just wondering if you get a 1st person view when you lucid, or if you just stay whatever you are in you non-lucid dreams
      Thanks!

Let me guess... you play 3rd person games?

But yeah, when lucid you can be 1st or 3rd, up to you

So I have un-lucid dreams in 3rd person
Ah that's so weird... I have never had a single dream in third person. I guess it's good though since if you ever see yourself in third person then no reality check is needed because obviously your dreaming (unless your taking some crazy drugs).

Try saying I am dreaming in third person while going to sleep and hopefully it will get the idea into your head that next time you see yourself in third person you are lucid. Try shifting your focus to first person and then stab yorself. The pain should be a good way to really get yourself into a lucid dream but including the negative sense of feeling.

      Good luck
Sick of just reading about people's lucid dreams? How about watching them instead!

If you are new to dream recall, is it common to have your dreams in third person. I find that the better your dream recall gets, the more likely you will be to dream in first person.

Any questions about lucid dreaming? Drop me a PM here!

Take a look around and pick any object you see. Now imagine your center of self being at the location of that object. You've shifted your focus to that location. When this is done during a dream your center of self will literally move to the location you shifted it to.

While I rarely have dreams which are third person per se, I do have dreams where I'm more of a camera then an actual charactor.

For example one of my dream journal enteries (before joining this forum) was a rather surreal action movie in which I was a set of camaras. I could only recall the last parts: a gang of seafaring little kids were hunting down modern racist slave trader pirates. They decide to transmit a video of one of their female black members as a captive for sale. Meanwhile a navy patrol boat has been sent to track the pirate ship down (which looks almost like a sub). The main hero leading this chase seems to be my dad for some reason. Meanwhile the kids decide to send the pirates to a complex of buildings but before the pirates reach the buildings they see the navy boat speed past which thinks that the complex is holding the pirates and decides to storm it. The pirates soon send in their men after the cops enter the building. My dad has a cigerette hanging from his mouth when the pirate leader enters. My dad tries to quickly aim at him but gets shot in the arm by my brother J (wtf!) who seems to be one of the gang members alongside his friend N (wtfffff), both look like scared shitless. Then someone rings our phone in rl and I wake up.

I dont really mind these dreams, I find them entertaining if occasionaly clinically insane like this one.
