      WILD Tips

So this morning I randomly decided to try a WILD, problem is I think I wasn't tired enough. But as I lay there not moving for a long time I felt pain but then my body suddenly went weird and felt weightless and my heart was beating fast, then it went back to severe pain where there was a huge urge to turn over and I couldn't resist it anymore..

Just read Yoshi's WILD guide where you lay still for 7-10 mins then keep changing positions which seems much easier and I will be trying that tonight. I was wondering if doing WBTB then doing WILD increases the chances of succeding much more, what are the chances of succeding if I attempt the WILD without any prior sleep?

You get longer REM periods if you've slept for a longer period of time. Therefore it's easier to dive straight into REM when WILDing if you've slept for a few hours prior to the attempt.
I succeeded WILDing when I went to bed in the evening once, but I had about 4 seconds before I lost consciousness. I'm quite certain it was because the REM period was too short. I've however felt it's been easier for me to WILD in the evening because I'm tired, but I'm doing attempts after 4-5 hours of sleep now.

Okey, I'll set my alarm for about 5.

Drink some water before bed so you wake up naturally, no need for alarm. Happy dreams

Attempted Yoshi's WILD technique but I opened my eyes for some reason as I turned over, which probably wouldn't make much of a difference, but I got annoyed and you've got to be relaxed, but mainly sleep seemed more appealing

Don't get frustrated over that. On a few occasions I got a WILD/OBE, when I said to heck with this, turned around and decided just go to sleep.

I'd recommend not getting frustrated over failing, and simply look at WILDing differently instead. Instead of focusing on the goal of getting into a dream - enjoy the ride regardless of how it goes. Treat the WILD itself as something fun, and the dream will come to you eventually.
