slowly mastering self induced sleep paralysis (and its relation to lucidity)

      Hello all i'm new here.
For the past month i have been practicing inducing sleep paralysis.. It has happened a few times in my life before and went on completely unexplained.. until now.

Once i learned how to do it i practiced every night.( i look forward to sleep time because of it ) and it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that it started happening normally. First let me tell you a little about my sleep pattern..

i was sleep deprived throughout high school due to internet gaming and was constantly the one falling asleep in class.
Now i am a shift worker and my schedule changes every week. my circadian rhythm is practically non-existent so i can fall asleep anytime and anywhere in just about any condition.

      My first succesful attempt:
it was late afternoon and i just wanted to take a nap.. I did the usual self induced sleep paralysis technique ( ill be referring to this as SISP from now on) by lying flat on my back and focusing on my breathing )
Before i knew it i was there. Now i opened my eyes ( im not sure if they were open or closed but the environment was exactly the same) and just above me was a rear view mirror facing my door. In it i could see the reflection of many passing feet scurrying into my roomates room. This was accompanied by the hustle and bustle of a party crowd. I immediately got pissed off and forced myself out of paralysis to solve the "issue" only to realize that it was never real.

Side note: I've read soooo many horror stories about ghastly figures, large demon hands, shadow ghosts etc. so my BIGGEST tip is to realize that it is NOT real. Its easier said than done because you are hearing it AND seeing it but if you can take control of your mind it can be the best thing ever.

two nights ago was my most successful SISP yet.
It was late and i had to be up in 3 hrs. I fell asleep usuing the SISP technique of having my hands laced behind my head and the dropping them when i started to get sleepy. i focused on my breathing and i briefly blacked out. next thing i know there was a DEMON hovering over me screaming " FJAOFJFJAPGALDKJFLFAG" in his demon voice. he was black and cloudy.. i couldnt see him but i knew exactly what he looked like. I was so scared i almost willfully broke the SISP but i remembered that it wasnt real. I quickly banished the loser demon and just sat there.. thinking.. " Holy Sh*t i did it.." remembering the events that took place after was harder than remembering any dream ive ever had but i DO remember focusing my mind to make orbs appear in my room ( sickest thing ever ). i broke the SISP by using the technique of holding my breath .. gathered myself.. but as soon as i put my head down on the pillow to go back to sleep i fell into a similar state almost instantly. I kept getting hit by waves of "VOOM VOOM VOOM VOOM" i heard the noise and felt the rush but couldnt make any sense of it all.. then slipped into the blackness of sleep.

All of the dreams/vivid thoughts i had during took place in my room. it was prettttty epic.

it was also my first succesful attempt at lucidity because i was able to control what was there and what wasnt..

ill keep you guys updated as i get better at this

      Peace.

Sounds like you are having success Your "hands behind the head" trick reminds me of something I once read for inducing trance. You lie on your back, with your arms bent at the elbow and pointing up. Your upper arms are lying comfortably on the bed, and your forearms are vertical. You balance them that way, and let yourself drift off. You will notice sleep approaching when your arms drop.

      I don't know why, but
there was a DEMON hovering over me screaming " FJAOFJFJAPGALDKJFLFAG" in his demon voice.
      made me LOL hard.

This is great to hear! Sounds like a WILD to me, but whatever works is cool.

i guess the only separation between a wild and what im experiencing is the fact that i constantly test it by trying to move ( in real life)
      either way Freaky things happen.

It's funny how scared people get sometimes though.. and when i try to explain to people what i do at night and the whole concept of SISP, they all think i worship the devil. i dont see the connection.
