      Question

I've noticed that the people in my dreams that I know in reality never seem to be "themselves" in my dreams. It is them in the dream, but something about their personality always seems to be different. I was just wondering if our subconscious minds can maybe see them as they really are and that is what we are seeing in our dreams. Anybody have any thoughts on that??

Well, i've heard it said that sometimes, when a dream character appears slightly differently than they do in real life, it's usually because the dream character is playing out some element of ourselves that we were unaware of...I think it's based on Jungian Theory somewhere, but i'm not sure where.

For example: If you meet a dream character, and in real life they are really placid say. But in the dream, they are angry, ranting and raving, shouting and throwing things.
Maybe, if you have another dream where your dream characters are acting 'abnormally' ask yourself if you have an element of what that character is displaying in your waking life. Then, if you find that maybe you do, maybe ask yourself how does it affect you? Is it positive, or negative?
I've found this happening to me quite a lot in my dreams, and often its a negative thing. That's not to say it's bad. But in being able to interpret it, it allows me to improve myself in waking life, through my dreams.

      I hope i haven't confused you now!
let me know if you have any more questions

      i agree

I agree on that, in dream interpretation, dream characters and especially people you know reflect parts of our current mood and personality in our dreams. its like your unconscious mind says "Well your friend Tim is nice, well-mannered, and very outgoing. and you are acting like the angry side of him, so i;m going to put Tim in your dream toonite being angry(at people)." of course, this is just what i think.

ive always figured that the people we know we in our dreams are what we perceive them to be, but i myself have never noticed any differences in their personality, but on the other hand i almost never dream of people i know
