      Question My first LD (I think)

      Ok, so I'm new here.
      I do smoke weed, but that doesn't stop me from learning how to LD

      Last night I remember waking up and remember someone who has just moved in a few
      doors down the road, knocked on my door asking for a lighter in which I remember picking
      up off the table and giving him the yellow lighter.

      I woken up half asleep remembering that, so I written it in my dream journal next to my bed, then when I went back to sleep I remember having my eyes closed and seeing a circular pattern spinning and a sensation I have never felt before, I also remember doing a reality check and not feeling anything.

      This was all really a blur in the morning, but is the high life ruining my dream recall?
      WTF happened? x (I'm atleast happy I did a RC)

      Doesn't sound like an ld too me, it will be very hard to have an ld with bad recall. Just say no to drugs

      I think you can still have LDs, but weed ruins your recall. So you may have a lucid and not remember it.

      To your first post - The ralization that you are dreaming, especially if this is one of your first ones is accompanied with unmistakable feeling of exhilaration. If you didn't go "omg, omg, omg, I'm really draming" and then most likely woken up from excitement, then it probably was not a lucid dream.

      You can have a regular dream that is more vivid and memorable than others. Please feel free to check out the DV Wiki and pick an induction technique to get you started. In general DILD is easier to start with than WILD.

      But first, if you want to remember your dreams, you may need to smoke less pot. Happy dreams

      You can still smoke, but it would ruin your recall, as Gab stated. We have a few in the community, including a few venerables who also smoke. It doesn't as much ruin Lucidity, probably just whether you could remember it or not.
