Having trouble doing RC's at school

I find that when I'm at school, I can't seem to do proper reality checks consistently throughout the day. When I'm at home or anywhere else outside of school, I can take the time to get into the right state of mind for a reality check, but at school, I can't seem to do it. I don't exactly know why, but there's just something about school which makes doing proper RC's difficult. Does anyone else have this problem?

I would suggest if you are able to do so discreetly, use the nose pinch RC. It's quick and you don't really have to be in any state of mind(just be thinking that if you can breathe with your nose pinched that you are in a dream). You could also try a mental RC such as remembering the general events that have occurred in the day and how you got to where you are.

When I'm at home or somewhere else. I pinch my nose, look at my hands to see if I have 5 fingers on each hand, I read some word look away then look back to see if it stays the same (this RC is easy to perform at school) and I do some other RC's but when I'm at school i mostly do these 2: I read some word look away then look back to see if it stays the same & I look at my hand to see if there's a X on it. Every morning before I go to school I draw a X on my hand. If you can see a X it means you're not dreaming :]

At school I usually do the nose pinch RC, doesn't take much. I put my hands under my desk and try to see if two fingers will go through the other hand and then count the fingers. Then I casually read what's on the board/posters around the room to see if they make sense and then glance at the digital clock one time and then again to see if it's the same. If you don't think you can do this while the teacher is lecturing, you can always do it when you're given time to do some work in class to get in the right mindset.

      1234567:

Are you having trouble doing RC's or remembering to do them? I could see not being able to keep them on your mind, because there's always something going on in school.

If that's the case, then maybe some simple reminder, like an elastic band on your wrist, might be enough of a reminder.

If you are remembering, then never mind!

I usually remember the fact that I should be doing a reality check, but actually doing it seems more difficult. School is a really noisy and chaotic environment which makes it hard to get into the right mental state.

I agree with doing the nose pinch reality check. It doesn't have to be a big deal, just ask yourself a few simple questions:
"How Did I get Here?" (In dreams, you often just appear at a place and don't actually travel to get there.) and
"Does Anything Seem out of Place?"

It shouldn't take more than a minute or so

For me, I whenever I feel the need to check, I look something with words or numbers, like a clock or banner with words and do a double take
If its the same, I'm awake I find it harder to do when I do extended gaming periods
