For me, puting my hands in front of my face and looking good at them for a while is working better than rubbing my hands or touching anything.
But just to add what burke said, if you find yourself trashing in your bed, maybe you are having a False Awakening, when I wake up, I first try to "go back to the dream" by staying quiet and imagining my dream body moving around (I preffer running, cause uses all the body) the scenario of the last dream (or the first scenario that you imagine).
but if you don't be able to do it, RC as soon as possible to be sure about it.
The body spining technique is known by creating a lot of FA's.
