Hello!
I haven't been actively trying to become lucid, but some things have made me wonder if I am on my way to achieving lucidity~~
I'm a bit confused about this whole 'realising you're dreaming while asleep' thing... is it possible to think (in your dream) that you're dreaming, but it still be a part of the dream, and not the 'real' you realising you're asleep?
That hardly makes sense but it's difficult to explain, I hope someone understands!
The first time I wondered about this I was having a nasty dream, involving scarey monsters and such, but before it got too bad I told myself "It's just a dream, nothing can hurt you" over and over again - it felt like a hundred times in less than a minute - then I woke up.
So I wasn't lucid or anything, but I thought it was quite exciting that I realised it was a dream while I was asleep, and woke myself up.
The second time, I had a random nap in the afternoon and dreamt I was driving. I realised quite quickly it was a dream, since I can't drive yet I'm obsessed with starting to learn, and got quite excited. I immediately thought about flying and the car suddenly lifted off into the air... but it only lasted a few seconds and things became really hazey and I woke up.
Was this lucid? Or close to it? I didn't feel as if I had any heightened senses or anything, it just felt like a normal dream except this immense excitement and the fact I decided I wanted the car to fly.
But was it just a part of the dream that the car flew, or did I make it fly?
