      Struggline to LC again

Hi guys, this is my first post, and thread, here. I had a dream about a month ago in which I somehow asked myself if I would be doing this in real life and answered no. I then realised it was a dream and drove up a hill on a scooter and tried to steel someone's bag. Fairly random I know. I then did some research the next day and discovered lucid dreaming. Since then I have attempted to do RC's, DJ and asking myself if I am dreaming. I also sleep with binaural music on.

I'm constantly having dreams and recalling them but not 1 LD since that night. Really confused as to how I ended up LDing then when I never even questioned reality and now that I do it on a daily basis I don't LD.

Any advice on what I should be doing differently? Thanks

Many people have LDs without knowing what they are which sounds like what happened to you. Often times there's something really strange or we're just really aware that dream and we end up realizing we're dreaming which leads to an accidental discovery.

As for some advice I suggest trying All Day Awareness or ADA. It basically taking 5-10 minuets each day and trying to become hyper-aware and very in tune with your senses. Tutorial Here. It helps a lot with DILDs and just makes you more aware overall.

Other than that there's not much else you can do except keep a positive mindset and maybe experiment with different induction techniques to find which one is right for you. Just be sure you really question reality when you preform your RCs and aren't just going through the motions. If you just do it like a chore then there's a good chance that, even if you do one in a dream, it won't work and you'll think you're awake. This has happened to me before and it is very frustrating so you want to be sure to try and avoid this.

ADA is all day awareness not 5 minute awareness, that's called SAT (sporadic awareness technique)

You got lucky stumbling onto an LD but to learn to get them on purpose takes most members no less than two weeks. With me at least six weeks. Learn about ways to increase your chances in the DVA part of the forum. They have on going classes. Check out the MILD/DILD class for sure. The most powerful tool is to think and read about LDs to the point of obsession. Somehow that helps triggure them.
