I can't quite say I've ever heard of dreaming doing anything to make your mind worse, I'd say it'd do the opposite since you should be stimulating your brain in the process of trying out techniques. |

ive been on the forums for about half a year not really posting or anything, but when i first found out and started trying lucid dreaming my memory has been slowly getting worse. i can think of no other explanation than my dreaming doing something to my memory. i can only remember a week ago, and it has been that way for a couple months now i think. any thoughts on this? |

Make sure you're getting enough sleep! Lack of sleep is highly detrimental to memory, and when you're constantly preoccupying yourself with lucid dreaming, the results can be quite frustrating. I'd take a break every now and then, read a book, and like OctoberWind mentioned: EAT HEALTHY. |

-Rene Descartes
If it is affecting your everyday life, you should see a doctor. You may have started lucid dreaming, but it may be an invisible heath issue that started at the same time? |

Ooh, their breath is warm
And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper
Lucid dreaming has made my memory better im not too sure why its made it worse for you. |

Maybe you are pushing it too much? forcing yourself to lucid dream won't help. Or thinking about it too much. Just sleep and let the dreams take you on first. |
