Question What is it im experiencing ?

Well i had my first lucid yesterday,it was extremely vivid as vivid as i never seen it, but it was not a real dream where i was TOTALLY sleeping. but let me explain (you can read it in my Dream Journal (German, sorry!)

I was making an (unwanted but definately working) Wake back to bed at about 9 in the morning. Well i drifted off and suddenly i was in the "dream" (really a dream?) and instantly knew that i was dreaming so i used my new powers to incinerate a DC that i saw (yes i killed the first DC ive ever seen with fire).

Well . to get to the point, it was not a dream! ok it was but it was more like half sleeping half waking, i still knew my physical body was there. (I would really really appreciate if someone could tell me what this phenomenon is called)
It would best explain it as the "first 20 Seconds of a WBTB if that helps you help me.
i couldnt move but with little effort i woke myself up , dont know why, but i wasnt tired after that
Ask me whatever you want so i can explain even better... i really want to know what this phenomenon is called to get to know more about it.
And please forgive me for my bad english^^ as you see i am german .

      Congrats to your first lucid!

I believe, it's quite normal to feel your sleeping body while in lucid dream. It just means, you were not sleeping deep enough yet, or something is stimulating you. This happend to me, when my cat laid down next to me and could feel her body, so in the lucid dream, I was fully aware of my dream and my sleeping body at the same time. Not sure if it has a name.

Oh, and your English is great Happy dreams

I do not think it has a certain name. Sleep, dream, trance, meditation, and vision are all strange ground with tons of variation. Some times you can enter a vivid dream and still be aware of your body. I eventually learned to cultivate this enough to be able to reach over and shut off my alarm with out 100% interupting an LD. I do not know how often this happens to others, but some times when I WILD I never fully loose track of my body, yet enter a wonderful LD.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Its interesting to see it from the view of someone else, thanks!
but still, this "first 20 sec. of a wbtb" feeling bugs me. i was able to wake my self up as i lost control of the dream.
Sleep Paralysis was always my problem, im not scared of it at all, as i know its something i have everynight
but everytime i wake myself up.
This night i will set my alarm on 5 1/2 hrs of sleep and stay awake MORE. this time i was awake for about 5 minutes before going to bed again.
Maybe this is the deciding reason for me to dream longer.
      Maybe not.

Would love to hear more of you guys

I do not think it will matter how long you stay awake. I tend to WBTB after a rest room break, and a drink of water, about 5 minutes.

My first lucid was the same, I was totally aware of my sleeping body and I believe this was why I struggled to stabilize and woke up fast. Try stabilizing techniques next time and see if you feel more in the 'dream' world as a result?

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

Hmm spiritual term for the dream being REAL: OOBE - Out of body experience or more spiritual - Astral projection.
It sounds to me that you started daydream or hallucination and felt like you were there and then started dreaming. That's what usually happen to me anyway.

While having this vivid daydreamy feeling you are still aware of your physical body.
