Sick of just reading about people's lucid dreams? How about watching them instead!
Here's a playlist of some of my lucid dreams: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MTor...51F540DDEB2704
oh ok fine so semi lucid dream is you know that you are dreaming but your goals are distracted ....where lucid dream is you know that your are dreaming and also you will achieve your goal....right |

There is no such thing as a "semi lucid dream". Your either lucid or not lucid. What 12padams talks about is dream control and awareness. |
|
I don't believe this at all. It's a bit silly to look at lucid dreaming as an "on/off" switch when the brain and dreams in general have much more depth to them. Check out my thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/layers-lucidity-131625/ |

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.
No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.
Can we agree that the definition of lucid dreaming is "a dream in which you know you are dreaming"? You do not have to be able to control your dream. On the other hand you might be able to control your dream and not be lucid. One can happen without the other. |
|
You can have the simulation of knowing you are dreaming without being lucid. Completing a multistep plan you made in real life is the only way to know! |

A "semi lucid dream" is a lucid dream where you have very little dream control and very little consciousness to fully realize that this is a dream and you can do anything. While you still know you are dreaming, you don't realize that you really can do anything. |
|
As I mentioned earlier you do not have to be able to control your dream to be lucid dreaming. On the other hand you might be able to control your dream and not be lucid. One can happen without the other. |
|
oh ...how to convert semi lucid to lucid ???? any idea ??? |
|
IMO There is no such thing as "semi" lucidity: you're either lucid or you're not. |

Ya, exactly. I haven’t heard about semi lucid dreams. If you know that you are dreaming, you have to do reality checks and try to control your dream. |

but some ppls used this term.. i noticed it some threads of this page ... before i signup to this site... i never heard such a word like semi lucid dream, i know only dream n lucid dream... i noticed it in few threads thats why i askd |

semi lucid dreaming is different from fake lucidity. In semi lucid dreams, you have a strange sense that you are dreaming but the dream still has an influence over you that influences many of your actions. It's something usually noobies experience. semi lucidity usually occures when a person wakes up, then goes back to sleep soon after. When you go back to sleep, You go back with a part of your brain turned on giving you this strange sense that you are dreaming but you are inthrawed in the dreams narrative. It's like an imperfect DEILD, you usually don't remember waking up because a part of you is still very much a sleep so you don't attain full lucidity, only a feeling. DILD semi lucid dreams are less likely detected because during the process where one goes from unconscious to conscious occures much faster with little time for distraction. to become semi lucid in a dream induced semi lucid dream would normaly occure AFTER one has already become lucid. stabilizing your dream while lucid can be quite tricky to remember if you become too inthrawed in the dream experience so upon waking, you would only be left with a semi lucid experience depending on how well you can recall the feeling during complete lucidity. The feeling of semi lucidity will most likely overlap the feeling you had when you were completely conscious. People who are inthrawed with the concept of lucid dreaming are usually the ones who can stabilize this sensation. Others will either transcend into a regular dream or they might recall a feeling of drifting into a thought. |
