Talking Just how vivid/realistic can L.D be?

hey all i am newbee here but i learned many things on lucid dreaming by searching on DVs & google but didnt had one fully LD..had semi-lucid,,where i somehow knew i was in a dream but could'nt control it..Now i started keeping a dream journal since 10 days or so & i remember like 1 full,2 vague dreams as of now.Now on DV while reading the tutorials i noticed something unlike any other site..while reading tutorial i found this
      1) DILD - "Dream Induced Lucid Dream"

      Average dream clarity/vividness - 6/10
      Average awareness - 6/10

      2) WILD - "Wake Induced Lucid Dream"

      Average dream clarity/vividness - 7.5/10
      Average awareness - 8.5/10

      3) DEILD - "Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream"

      Average dream clarity/vividness - 7/10
      Average awareness - 7/10

      4) MILD - "Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dream"

      Average dream clarity/vividness - 6/10
      Average awareness - 6/10

      5) WBTB - "Wake Back to Bed"

Average dream clarity/vividness - 6/10 for DILD, 7.5/10 for WILD
Average awareness - 6/10 for DILD, 8.5 for WILD

It seems that dream clarity/vividness & awareness is rated..I want 2 know just how much is this 6 or 7 in 10 want 2 know about both clarity/vividness & awareness..& how much is for an average dream in 10??? & can experienced lucid dreamers reach 10/10 in both areas??how much is dat???can someone exceed dat.. I mean is it being compared with real life or like d resolutions & graphics in a game,,like playing in normal
inbuilt graphics is 6 & with a good graphics card is 8-9...& does the sensations/feelings/hearing/taste also increase...& suppose i started with 6,can i increase it at my will....
sorry all of u it may seem lame or foolish 4 most of u but 4 amateur lucid dreamers..it can help in motivation & i just love to know this kinds of stuffs..& sorry 4 asking so many Q/A in 1 thread.....PLEASE HELP..THANKS ALL.

Well for me these have never really applied to me, for instance when I have a DILD it's possible to mistake it for real life. So if by the logic there I can mistake a dream as real life but it's only a six. Although, I have heard that you can go beyond the vividness of real life, which I think has happened to me in a non-lucid dream in which case I suppose I would classify that as a ten. But my idea of vividness is based off of how clear the dream is, how well can I recall it? How well was my vision while in the dream? Was it foggy? Also, I go based off of realism, for instance this morning I was flying in a lucid dream and I could feel the wind on my face while flying. For me that made it more real and therefore more vivid. And one last thing, I heard that the more lucid you are in the dream, or more aware, the higher the vividness could go so I believe that you could raise the vividness of a dream from when it begins to where it ends. This is just what I think though..

That scale you posted is bogus. There are many factors here at work which influence vividness. But to answer your question, how vivid/realistic can LDs be, I ask you "how vivid/realistic can waking life be?"

      And there is your answer.

I think those awareness:method statistics are ridiculous, people lucid dream in different ways. On some days lucid dreams can be really vivid and almost too-memorable, on others they can be so fuzzy and unclear that I only remember snippets, implying that methods give you different varying states of awareness in dreams is bogus.
Goodnight and good luck. On and onwards, dreamers!

Hey all those who didnt like dat scale...dat scale is not made my me.......it is of dreamviews.its in the tutorial-The Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming..I know dat there r many factors which affects the vividness of dream..but just think logically, how can d scale b completely useless..what harm is in it to rate it,,dat way u can keep track of ur progress,,,i mean see, everything which we do for d 1st time looks difficult, more enjoyable/intimidating etc...i mean if ur eating KFC for the 1st time,it will taste gr8 but if u eat it daily it will taste like a normal meal, nothing special,,So if someone LD's for the 1st time,he may feel its overwhelmingly real & suppose rates it as 10,which advanced LDers rates 6. Now even though if he dreams his next dream with the same vividity..he will feel it a less vivid cause he is getting used to it..Now suddenly if he have a dream more vivider than before & he may think omg! i thought dat 1 was real, then this 1 may be super real...& rate d previous dream 7 & the new dream 10....Then he may have many dreams ,& rates it in between 8-9...So actually the 1st dream he had,is now the least vivid to him now...so rating lets u know systematically how far u've progressed..Well that is my theory though..the rest is up to u..but just give it a thought!!!!!!
