This will sound like a dumb question but has a teacher, classmate, or friend ever denied that lucid dreaming exists? Lol, I could imagine that. Share your stories below. |

Can't say I have spoke with anyone who's clearly denied, seen very few people discard lucid dreams as just "dreaming that we know we're dreaming", surprisingly on this forum. I've spoke with people that haven't exactly denied it being possible, but calling them 'mind games' giving the clear insinuation that there isn't any point. |

I have run into some people who couldn't understand the concept. They believed me, but didn't understand what I was talking about. It was like they had so little experience with dreams, they didn't even know you weren't already aware in normal dreams. |

Hrm, no, I don't think that I've actually met anyone who didn't believe in LD... Most people did already experience it 1-2 times during their childhood and since it's not something "spiritual", it's pretty easy to talk about it. |

I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love.
Love above all.
Current goal: Improving my ability to remember my dreams.
English isn't my native language, so please be patient with me D:
No, everyone seems to enjoy they idea of being able to control things they previously thought they couldn't. Although I did tell my mom once and she just sat there expressionless waiting for the punch line. |

Well no but interestingly my best friend one day (Who doesn't know anything about lucid dreaming) was explaining to me he had a weird dream but the way he explained it was exactly like starting and ending a lucid dream he said he went straight into the dream and he had full control but then the dream started to fade and he woke up with his eyes closed and he was fully awake and I've never talked to him about lucid dreams previously before this conversation which really amazed me at the time I was thinking Q__Q he's the chosen one but I was just being silly and after he told me that I told him he had a lucid dream (I explained it to him) and yeah really it went quite the opposite way to your post. |

Yes, sadly... :L |
|
Oof.
xD. YES!.....my...MOM. I told her about it and she refuses to believe I can do it. She says I make it all up. Then I show her concrete evidence it exists and SHE STILL DOESN'T BELIEVE IN IT. She also doesn't believe you have dreams every night or can even learn to remember dreams. She thinks dreams are only for children. |

Everyone I tell believes being aware in their dreams is possible, but they start getting skeptical when I tell them they can control their dreams. |
|
yesh... my brother... well, he's a derpshit anyways xD |
|
Oof.
Some of my buds at school... I was explaining one of my dreams to a friend who I often discuss these things with, one who I taught about lucid dreaming a few months back, and some of my other friends came and sat next to us and listened in. They mostly listened but chimed an occasional comment, and when I had finished, they put the concept into question. They kept saying "that's just not possible" or the famous "I don't even dream.." it is kind of pointless to argue to such close-minded individuals.I understand and appreciate skepticism, but close-minded is no way to live life. |

If sweetness can win, and it can, I will be here tomorrow to high five you yesterday. Peace.
