" The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven "
As far as I know, It doesn't matter whether you listen to music or not, its just that music is a distraction(which is bad) but I'm sure that if you concentrate enough it shouldn't matter. |

Dream goals: Not completed / Tried / Completed
Summon the Sword of Lucidity / Gravity Shifting(Walking on walls)
I normally have my headphones in whilst walking about but I stopped now I'm trying ADA because I found it too distracting. I guess it's up to the individual really, if you don't feel distracted then go for it! |

I listen to a lot of podcasts and will put them on when I walk to the store. To me it's like dividing your attention between two separate worlds, doesn't seem good for all for awareness. But in a LD you have to keep your attention divided between awareness and what you are doing in the dream anyway, so I think it may actually be good exercise. Every time you lose awareness of the outside world, just gently bring your attention back to both. |

Spoiler for Lucid Goals:
In that case, i'll happily keep listening to music while ADA-ing |

Music is everything to me, so i do everything better with it. When i listen to chillout/ambient music it puts my mind in a much more relaxed place, where it's actually easier to concentrate on my awareness, and especially falling asleep. |
