Does an LD in the morning kill your recall?

This is a pretty simple question - more for general curiosity than anything.

I keep stats on a number of my dream/sleep variables and have noticed nights that I go lucid are often nights that I recall fewer than the normal number of dreams. I speculate this may be because I often have the LD right before waking up and that the lucid experience is comparable to time being conscious in the real world in the morning - making it harder to recall one's dreams later.

Has anyone else found this to be their experience?

Learning to lucid dream since 2012.

That's interesting... it doesn't seem to affect my recall.

Could it be possible that when you wake up after a lucid dream, you are ONLY thinking about the lucid dream you just had, making the memories of your past dream become more and more faded? I know that when i wake up after a normal dream, i try to think of ALL the dreams i can remember from the past night. When i have a lucid dream however, i am so excited about the lucid dream i just had that i disregard any other dreams i had on the same night.

I agree with jblb2424. Well, in my case, that is. Whenever I get lucid, I tend to remember the lucid part better than the nonlucid ones. Of course lucid dreams are awesome, so when I have one, it is my top priority when it comes to recall.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
