taking long to fall asleep affect MILD?

so i decided to try MILD starting last night. i made sure i read as many tutorials as i could for it and even as i was reading them i knew i was going to have a problem.

i always take a long time to fall asleep even after im relaxed. (usually takes half an hour to an hour sometimes more) so im wondering if i should wait until im almost asleep to visualize it?

For some people visualizing and mantras keep them up when trying this method. One of these people is me xD. But don't give up easy like i did. Try listening to binaural beats before bed to allow you to slip off to sleep much easier. Also lucid dreaming doesn't have to be your last thought when falling asleep with the MILD method, although it does help. You can keep repeating your mantra until you feel the message has "clicked" in, than slip off to sleep.

i have a problem now... i cant listen to bi aural beats since there are none on my ipod and i accidentally locked my ipd and cant remember the code anyway

but thats not the problem. the problem is last niht when i tried it i made sure lucid dreaming was on my mind. but in my dream all that happened was i got an iphone and i was like ooh now i can look up binaural beats n youtube. and when i woke up i was like ookay then having non lucid dream about lucid dreaming now am i?

its quite interesting. but i feel as if something was questioning reality so maybe my mantra was trying to get through? i dont know....

By the sound of it you were almost there good job. Your mantra was doing its work you just needed to be pushed a little further to actually realize you were dreaming. Keep at it

This is the same as me but I think the longer you stay awake, the more you repeat your mantra. This should make it easier to Lucid dream. Just keep trying an you'll get there eventually
