      Question Dream Guide questions

Hello... uhm... so I've been hearing about people finding their 'Dream Guide' (Let's just say, D.G, for the sake of brevity)... and from what I can gather, a Dream Guide is a representation of your Sub-conscious in form of a D.C. The character, often guides you in your dreams, and helps you discover important things about yourself. Now... I've got some questions about this:

Can you see your dream guide in a non-lucid dream?
I'm asking this because once, I had a... short, but... deep dream. Basically, it was on a island. In the middle on the island, was a dense rainforest, and on the outskirts of it was a a beach. I was coming out of the water on a specific part of the beach, heading towards land. However, something stopped me. This... lady, dressed in a pure white dress. She stuck out, mostly because the sun was reflecting off of the dress, which made her almost blinding to look at. She was Caucasian, had blonde flowing hair and ice blue eyes. I felt... a very strange connection to her. It felt like a mother-son/teacher-student/lovers connection. She smiled warmly at me, and pointed towards a T.V set half-buried in the sand. On it, was a small little message, which said: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." After reading it, I immediately woke up, having a full, 100 percent recall of the dream.

And my second question is, how do you find said D.G? I haven't really read on anything about people finding their D.G, rather only on stuff about them already having it. So... if you could.... maybe give me some tips for finding my D.G for my first real lucid dream? And, would the women I described in the above dream be my D.G?

as far as if they can be in regular non-lucid dreams im not sure
but i actually just found my dream guide this morning thanks to the WILD technique
first i asked anyone/everyone i came across if they were my dream guide and they would say no, than i just yelled "dream guide i want to meet you"
and he showed himself to me.
i would say if you lucid dream just ask to meet him plainly and if you're mean to, it will show itself to you.
everyone's experience will be different but just thought i would share how it happened for me.
And i could be possible that the woman in your dream is your dream guide but Its best to ask them to make 100% sure, i asked mine 3 times
and he said yes each time, dream guides wont lie to you and from what i've read dream characters wont lie on the third time.

      best of luck!!

In one of my most vivid lucid dreams I met a guy named Iapetos and he told me that he would guide me, so I call him my Dream guide.
And I have seen him in normal dreams as well, normally surprising me with strange quotes which help me become lucid.
But when I am lucid I state my intent to meet him by screaming "Iapetos I need your help!" and sometime he appears.

If dreams truly are more than something created by the subconscious then any person who wants to help you can work as a guide, but if everything on the other hand IS only created by your subconscious then every person is a representation of your subconscious and therefore anyone can still work as a guide. So just state your intent of guidance to the dream and see what happens.

The woman you are describing might want to guide you, ask her =)

      Good luck =)

I have heard cased where dream guides just show up in non lucid dreams. If you want to find your dream guide lucidly, you can yell out "Dreamguide, show your self!" and turn around. That entity that turned around may or may not be your dream guide, so ask for its name. If it says something completely random like "I like pent butter and jam" than chances are it is not your dream guide. Also, dream guides tend to be more vivid and detailed in appearance, and are much more intelligent than regular dream characters. You can ask it more questions about your self or general questions and see what it gets right. Hope this helps!
