anyone have luck with audio recordings?

I download the lucid night light app that allows you to record your own message that will play at the delay of your choice. Has anyone had success with this or something like it. If so what did ur message say, headphones vs no headphones. All the details possible really.

i've tried some binaural beats tracks with some success. The one i'm using lasts one hour and a half, and at the end has a high pitch sound that wakes you up, by that moment most of the time im dreaming so i immediately recall the dream to write it in my journal.

I didn't use that app, but when I experimented with some audio recordings I made, I used an mp3 player with the earphones placed on both sides of my bed. I had to adjust the volume level anyway. It worked fine.

I'm trying something like this with the DIELD technique. The alarm wakes you up and then you drift into sleep paralysis. I think that counts but I hope you find something that works!

I would use those alarms where I'm able to set any mp3 as the alarm tone (Handy or those which has an USB port) and I would set those songs meant to relax oneself or something like that. If exist, the repeat option should be turned off and I would take into account that possibly the first days it could be hard to go to sleep due to the excitement. It took me around 2 or 3 days to go to normally sleep without paying attention to the alarm system I built a couple of years ago.

I tried one a few months ago. It was supposed to make a noise once you were in a dream, which was a girls voice counting down from 10. I was using earphones as well. I "wake up" in the night and noticed that they're out of my ears. I put one in and I hear the countdown from 10. In a guys voice. "Huh, that's kinda weird." So I slept.

I have used every possible system, audio cues, binuaral beats and as an alarm.
      Audio cues.
These work quite well and are nearly comparable to the nova dreamer (externally induced lucid dream). Llisten to them throughout the day and do RC's and awareness techniques everytime you hear the sound, then when you are in a dream you will hear the sound even if it isn't played in real life because you have become so used to it. I always used the Dreamz app with earphones but I don't like being attached to a device in order to lucid dream.

      Binaural beats
How you use these is up to you, mainly either for inducing the imagery in a wild or as an anchor if you are just trying to fall asleep consciously. They work alright but only as an aid and have never induced and actual lucid for me, however the serenity you get from listening to them can either help you or distract you.

      Deild technique
Finally I use a sound to wake me up at 3am to try Deild. Although the sound is meant for waking me up I've added another dimension to this. For Deild you have to be able to wake up completely still with your eyes closed, what i've done is associated the alarm noise with staying completely still. I no longer need the alarm but it really did help get me started.
