      Lucid Awareness

In some lucids, I am able to think just like I would in real life, I can realize the fact that I'm asleep in bed. But in others, I am aware I am dreaming and have control. But I don't think like I do in waking life and don't seem to be able realize I'm asleep in bed. It's hard to explain. I am just wondering if this is normal. Weirdly, it was the most realistic looking lucid I've ever had, but my awareness was not as good.

Yes, it's "normal," if any of this stuff can be called that. In fact, you can count yourself lucky that you were able to remember your waking body, as that's an important step toward higher-level lucidity!

The difference between the two states you mention is memory. In both dreams you managed to bring your waking-life awareness into your dreams, but in one of them you also brought your waking-life memory with you.

Yes, in both states you can have a pretty decent lucid experience (so don't be too upset when you "forget" your memory), but when you can remember your waking life body, you can also do things like remember your intentions, empower your expectations, and have full confidence in your self-awareness. With all this stuff in tow, your LD experience is potentially limitless. And yeah, with all that stuff in tow, realism will be increased if you want it to be.

So, remembering your sleeping body is both a good thing, and a good start; I suggest you try to do it every time -- but still have a good time if you don't!

This lucid was without trying (no writing down my dreams etc) the lucid I had when I was aware of my waking body was when I tried, which was a while ago now. So it may take me a while to do that again had no idea I was near high level lucidity though.

^^ Sounds like "trying" is the key!

And though it might be a while, trust me, the time and trouble are worth it!

Lucid dreaming is a unique state of consciousness. Most of the time the feeling won't be the same as real life, this applies to memory aswell. Awareness has different "levels", this means that your awareness can be quite foggy at times, or it can be just as good as waking life, maybe even better. I think there are some exercises and techniques you can do to increase your awareness, or atleast increase the chances for a higher awareness. (Meditation, stabilization techniques, and so on..)

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

But it could be, ii also realize that, sometime, when strong lucid it really felt, Awareness is a kind of control of dream, if you got awareness then you get control, i 3x time get control becoz i was aware that i am dreaming..
