      Lucid Awareness

So I have been wondering lately, once you get better at recall and you have more frequent controlled LD's do they become so vivid and you are very aware of everything that it feels like real life?

Yes, they can be as detailed and realistic as real life. And, even though it's hard to imagine, they can be MORE realistic than real life.

Yes its as spyguy said, I kid you not there have been times in which it feels so realistic that I had to do really checks just to make double sure I was dreaming, even though I knew i was.

Wow I really can't wait for that! About how long have you been lucid dreaming for?

Me, not too long. Id say about a few months around 4 or 5. Not that it happens often but i do ld a lot more than before. Just dont give up, be patient and determined and your effort will be fruitful.

I agree that some of the feelings you can get are simply out of this world (well, I guess they actually are). I'm very much a beginner in terms of LD'ing, and last night I was lucid for a few seconds and started flying. I can guarantee you that I have never before in my life felt so good as I felt in that dream. I was simply amazed that dreaming can feel so realistic, so vivid, so damn good! So keep at it, and soon enough you'll be loving it even more!

Thanks! I'll definitely keep at it because after I started a while back I started have lucid dreams with the 3rd week of trying. and I continued to have them for about a month afterwards but then my recall got worse and it went downhill from there. I'm older and more disciplined now so hopefully I can stick to it!

      Degrees of realism

You will find the degree of realism can vary in LDs... some more real than others. But frequently mine are so real I couldnt believe my RC was telling me I was asleep. I kept testing over and over as I was sure I was awake... until I woke up.

I havn't had any very vivid dreams recently, but I've had dreams that I keep RC'ing the whole dream because i keep thinking that there is no possible way it's a dream. Sometimes i just look around at what my brain creates and think about how crazy it is that I am their.
