A new state of mind baby !!

Since becoming a member of this site I became a father again. Prior to my new edition I had gotten into LDing. I was having a LD once per week. I then started having 2 or 3 per week. Then we had the baby. We have a wonderful baby boy named Lennon. He is amazing, a true gem. I stopped LDing though. Nothing, nada, zip. Until probably 2 week ago. He's 6 month old now. I think my state of mind was shifted. I was no longer focused on LDing, obviously my main focus and eneergy was the baby. It just goes to show how your mindset can affect your dreams. I am still focused on nurturing my child but he's not brand new anymore. I guess he's become a fixture in my heart now and I can go back to dreaming again. I had a LD last night. I was at my old job (again). I was training someone and I got the feeling. The one where you say, hang on . .I live 3 and a half thousand miles from here .. . The one where you know something isn't quite right. I did the nose pinch and, this is a first, deep cool air flowed through my nostrils with ease. This was enough confirmation. The dream didn't last too long to be honest but i'm just glad to get back into it. I just wanted to share that with you. Peace

Congrats to your newest bundle of joy and also to getting back to LDing.

Yes, state of mind is very important, glad you very able to get it back. Will you be teaching your kids about LDing? Happy dreams

Yes, in fact I have an 11 Y/O step son. He has what seem to be lucid dreams so I love talking to him and hearing his dreams then giving him some tips. I'll definitely be helping Lennon too. LDing is amazing. I think there's more to it than just a dream. Maybe we really are in another dimension or place where we can let off steam. Maybe its always been a part of us but we "forgot" how to use our "ability". I think there's an awakening (no pun intended) going on at present so people are coming to realize natural abilities that were long time forgotten.

      Peace

It's great to have someone in the family you can talk to about LDing and he is also practicing, that's awesome!

I also believe, that when we dream we are in a different plane of existence. I think, sometimes we are in our private dream plane. And sometimes in the public plane, with other dreamers and perhaps other entities. I would be cautious about blowing off too much steam in these public places. But of course, I could be wrong.

And yeah, I have read about the awakening also. Would be great, if mankind would step closer to understanding LDing and other things.

Random thought, I only ever seem to become lucid in dreams that occur after the first 5 hours or so of sleep. I hear when babies are involved you don't get a lot of uninterrupted sleep, so that could make it especially difficult on top of the lack of mental focus. The mental focus is everything, too, because reality checks have never made me lucid, I always just BECOME lucid seemingly at random, with the likelihood of that happening based on how much time I spent thinking about LD'ing while awake.
